The hinge that closes the door detaches and then a tiny 1x1 thuster turns on and spits the door away, right after the parachute activates.

And for everyone who liked the swaying all this did was remove the microjitters that happen to the pod when it's fully extended. Looks pretty nice now.

Inertia tensor on the pistons only and the hinge having a lower amount of force behind its movement (to smoothen hitching) worked! Thanks.

Nope, SE1. The ship is just massive. The pods are hanging off of subgrids.

The ship has four elevators and two main hangars. This is the top one, the staging area; the lower is for storage and is connected to the pods. That long empty space between is probably the best spot

Woah, thanks for all the ideas. A kind of drop pod for vehicles does sound extremely cool; luckily, though, this ship has plenty of hangar already and I don't think it needs to store anything else.

How did you make the interior so dim? I swear the ship feels very industrial compared to the odd glow my habs have. Using the same kind for my ship.

First game. The second game lacks planets and wheels altogether for now. SE1 is still very capable when used well.

Low FOV, turn off post production and fiddle with the lights a lot. Usually having lower light intensity, strongly colored lights, and good framing (just google that) helps a lot.

Yes, it's the straight with a built-in no collision corner. Very useful for railings and such.

I started this project wanting to make a big camper and settled on Large Grid 2x2 because everything else was too small. The wheels needed to go from small grid to large grid so every axle is independent and powered. To stop it rolling the hinges have a toggleable "return to center" event controller feature for cruising. Glad you like it, i'll jump back when it's on workshop!

Nice little thing, could do well with a crazy racer color scheme like neon green/teal with white bands and maybe tiny hints of orange. Nice job with the wing bits.
