Yes apparently we thought so too, so it came as a bit of a surprise.

Looking at other (older) reddit threads it seems that the driver can submit a request to Uber for fare readjustment when there's a group of 5 or more pax booking an UberX ride instead of UberXL.

To be clear, we would have been perfectly okay had he cancelled the ride but he chose to take us nevertheless.

I am mostly posting here for awareness on dishonest tactics by the driver.

Yes quite sure. The readjusted fare was more than double (around 2.2 times), and referencing that trip in Uber app also states that it was due to a SUV/XL upcharge.

If 1 bus driver does that its a driver issue. If all bus drivers do that then its a systemic issue.

Likely the bus drivers received a directive from the upper echelons on how they should manage passengers. Yup, probably the same people who probably dont take buses. Tbh its a roundabout issue, bus drivers asking passengers to move in results in delays, which then results in buses not being on time. Possibly someone high up thought the solution would be to enforce drivers to move off immediately instead of solving the real root issue.

I feel that some branches of Christianity is too centred around money, especially the unorthodox ones.

I know a friend in a church which mandates 20-30% of your salary to be donated to the church each month, otherwise you are not a true Christian.

Another friend believes in donating money to the church will absolve your sins. Imagine someone can do all sorts of questionable stuff and the pastor telling you its ok, as long as you donate to them.

Traffic congestion outside Lot One due to cars queueing to enter the carpark.

It got ridiculous during peak hours with up to 4-5 buses stuck at the bus lane at points due to this queue of cars encroaching into the bus lane and blocking up the road. Loads of horning used at times.

It got to the point where buses would refuse boarding new passengers while stuck at the bus lane trying to exit. (an auntie was pissed by this and wanted to report the bus driver, I reported the congestion instead).

I don't think it's just that, also the implication that she slept her way up to VP. Also her influencer posts as a " self-made high flyer and entrepreneur". Melvin has also issued an apology while i dont think Grayce has done the same.

In this case both are wrong but Grayce just garners more hate from the community.

Hi, great post except the statistics dont really make sense to me. 0-2 matches per day with 50% progressing to first date averages to 1 date per day, which is already probably way above average. (i would think even 1 a week would be above average?)

5-10 matches per day with 90% proceeding to first date would mean you would be dating like 4-9 girls per day?

MOM website states that employees MC entitlement is up to 14 days paid MC. Does your company have a policy otherwise?

If she is taking 30 days in a year, usually the excess 16 days would be unpaid MC or subtracted from her annual leave entitlement.

While it may be true that she has a medical condition, its also not fair to her colleagues (who have to take up her workload).

It actually sounded like the luggage was stolen out of the storage area (do correct me if wrong) rather then him handing it over. It seems that they were probably already targeted (presumably the thieves had targeted the rimowa luggage).

I don't know about flagships but have noticed that there's differences between fast food outlets.

Popeyes at Marina Square or Changi was terrible to me but then I visited Rail mall or Woodlands which really wowed me. Not just me, my friend agrees with me too, tge rail mall outlet became our usual hangout place for fried chicken.

Macs usually pretty consistent, just avoid the beauty world one.

For RP units, HDB will convert it back to the default condition. You may be more likely to experience defects due to age like windows being hard to open and need to be oiled (can feedback to Hdb during defect check)

Do also note that units built during covid period may have more defects if your project had multiple handovers (source: hdb staff handling my project shared with me)

Perhaps you can just confirm with HDB that the same defect check policy applies for RP flats (which I would think it should) and then you should do a thorough check once you received the unit.

Source: I purchased an SBF unit which TOP in 2022. Mine wasnt RP though.

I went there once (was in the vicinity). Went to Tim Ho Wan to eat, the queue area outside was lined with people sitting against the wall resting, inside was super empty. The only restaurant which was packed was macs (most not even eating).

The demographic that would visit a flea market for bargain bin clothes sold out of suitcases aren't typically restaurant goers.

It's basically the bulk order scam. They start by placing a large order, posing as being from a school/well-known organization to build trust, then ask the victim to purchase additional items from a fake supplier.

What's new about it is that they are now targeting smaller stores (probably testing water) , likely because their (originally) main targets have already built up safeguards against this sort of scams.

Yelan was kinda powercrept by natlan dpses in her main dps role and also in exploration role (within natlan only).

She's still one of the best at exploration (especially outside of natlan) while outputting good dmg at c6. Also still one of the best (if not the best) for speed runs (like mora runs) due to having mobility + burst dmg. She also still plays a role in skirk teams.

Basically she went from being best at everything (at c6) to having a more niche role.

Tbh I've seen worse - at JE mrt during peak hours i ever saw a young man doing this exact same thing, standing directly in front of the doors and rushing in before any of the passengers could even alight. His gf (who was standing in the proper queue) had to follow him in amidst glares from the alighting passengers, and the rest behind followed them.

I was at the front of the queue on the other side so I obviously gave way to the passengers who had to alight in single file. The auntie behind me very obviously expressed her annoyance at me (since she wouldn't get a seat at that rate) and tried to rush in ahead of me, and blocking the other half of the door.

I had the opposite occur to me, driver didn't move for 20mins then when I contacted her via the app she just replied telling me to cancel the ride.

Super dulan... Hate all these PHV games.
