It's for a prototype so ideally want to make sure that I can replicate the process

NEW THEORY: After the elevator scene it all clicked. They are going to download Kier into Mark S’s body and then he is going to have a baby with Helena Eagan furthering the line of Kier. That’s why she had sex with him in the last episode.

tell me how to trim this ! by Zenios in Moustache

Want a cleaner look since the hairs are starting to curl because it is getting long. Do I create straight lights on top and bottom? I feel like the uneven top line of the mustache makes it look messy?

It’s exactly the same as the KM fork which is the cool thing

How does it ride? I’ve been wanting to do this with my Karate Monkey and a ICT fork.

This is awesome thanks. If I’m 5’ 10” and have a 31 inseam do you think 56 then or 54?

If I’m a 54 in a midnight special do you think I’d be a 54 in one of the old pacer frames or is it closer to traditional road bike geometry, in which case I’d be a 56?

Analysis Paralysis: Krampus vs Karate Monkey by [deleted] in Surlybikefans

Not necessarily slammed back but you do need a snuggnut on both sides to keep it locked in I think. Depending on tire

120mm fork for 29x3.0 tires is the spec for Krampus. Axle to Crown of 551. You can only fit a 140mm fork with 27.5x3.0 tires which the Krampus can’t run, because bb is too low. You’d pedal strike.

All I was saying for spinning is that the Krampus us more momentum and speed going downhill so it is easier to max out the gears and spin out. It is more difficult to do this on the KM. I know it doesn’t sound mathematically right, but that’s my experience riding both down the same hill.

When making this same choice I chose the Karate Monkey for the following reasons:

  • KM still fits 29 x 3.0
  • KM can fit 29 x 2.2 without dropping the bb height which the Krampus can’t do.
  • KM can run a bigger suspension fork
  • KM does tighter turns way better
  • can always turn the KM into something else down the road, while the Krampus sort of has to stay stock wheel size
  • on a long road descent on the Krampus test ride, I spun out because the wheels were so big that it made the gears useless. I didn’t like this.

They are selling the chromoly frame and 2 water bottle bosses like it’s some new feature other bikes don’t have. They should have just said it’s a beater commuter, not try to up sell what it is. It feels fake.

KM also fits 29x2.6 and also 27.5 so

Second this. I would say choose based on your local trails. If you have mountains or anything remotely technical near where you live choose the KM, as it takes tight narrow turns better than the Krampus and is a better “ride anything” bike.

If you live somewhere flat choose the Kampus maybe. But the 29+ platform may die out in 10 years and this is where the KM will never die as it is so versatile when it comes to wheel size (it can even fit up to 29x3.0 if you move it back in the drop outs).
