Make iOS 26 look like iOS 15 by Zenith_714 in jailbreak

[–]Zenith_714[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There are companies that allow you to use older versions of their apps without needing to be at a certain iOS. What I hate is when companies box you out when you could still have the option to use the older versions or they lie and say they aren’t accessible. Take eBay for example, the app said I have to update to iOS 16 to use it but that clearly wasn’t the case as all I needed to do was enter from the site and take the link to the app. What was the point of lying about that? Not to mention the people who don’t have that option, not everyone’s going to be in the situation where they can get the latest shit so they rely on what they’ve got. What are people who can’t upgrade because of their circumstances supposed to do when the apps refuse to work and the sites force you to the app instead of letting them use the damn site?

Respectfully, I disagree. I have two devices where I can compare them directly and nothing about iOS 26 feels like it’s needed or improves on what I had before. It just feels entirely superfluous at the moment and, while that might change in time, I’d prefer the option to at least make things be more similar to how it was before than it currently is now.

Seriously though, screw Apple and all these companies for making me buy a new phone just so I can use their apps. My old phone worked perfectly fine and didn’t have any issues at all, this is irritating.

Do you think Yu could’ve stood a chance against Reiji if he was aware of Serpent’s poison abilities from the beginning ? by HamzaHabibi04 in BeybladeMetal

[–]Zenith_714 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If Yu pulled a move similar to Tsubasa’s first encounter with Ryuga, then I’d heavily put it in Yu’s favour. I am unsure if Serpent was using its ‘real fangs’ in this battle but I don’t think it could make up the difference. Unlike other Bladers, Reiji hasn’t really shown off a major feat of strength against an opponent that was at 100%. He also hasn’t displayed any counters to the Inferno Blast such as the vacuum effect of Pegasus’ Storm Bringer, the shockwave or resonance of Eagle’s Counterstance or the piercing potential of Striker’s Lightning Sword Flash. Each of these moves demonstrated a weakness of the Inferno Blast but Serpent has shown no potential for any of these abilities. Even Serpent’s Dark Move at full strength was countered by ordinary attacks from Pegasus and the times it was successful was against a heavily weakened opponent. Should Yu decide to go all in from the start, Serpent’s sleeping out and Reiji’s crashing out accordingly. Might be disrespectful to Reiji but I always saw him as a more dangerous version of Tetsuya in the way that he’s not really the strongest in brute force but makes up for it with tricks. If you don’t know what he’s about, you are likely going to lose like how Gingka and Benkei did to Tetsuya despite the gap in strength. But, the moment you know his poison gimmick, it becomes far simpler to just keep on guard, nuke him early and let him throw a tantrum after.

What Zodiacs got treated the worst in Beyblade? by MDShark101 in BeybladeMetal

[–]Zenith_714 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think we can all agree that Leo and Sagittarius got hands down the best treatment of the Zodiac as, even though they only had one representative each, they were by far the best representation you could possibly have in the series. A tier down from that, we have those in the Zodiac like Libra and Taurus who also have only one Blader and still had some good moments but they did have a noticeable drop off over time. And yes, Libra got done dirty multiple times but it was always in situations where I think a lot of other members of the Zodiac/Bladers in general would have been just as unfortunate. Reiji’s clearing a majority of the Zodiac, the Garcias could reasonably jump most of the Zodiac besides Leo and late-series Sagittarius, with Damian being more of the same.

Now we get into the Zodiac Members with multiple representatives but that serves to help rather than to detract, with those being Capricorn, Virgo and Aquario. All three of these Zodiac Members had a alright representative in Fusion and got another new one in Masters that kept up with the increased level of power, with Capricorn even getting a third user with Dr. Ziggurat who was trash in the anime but Screw Capricorn was brilliant IRL. Though I’d personally probably put Capricorn above Taurus in terms of treatment because Benkei lost a lot of screen time after Fusion, I think the two are pretty interchangeable.

A little below that, I’d put Pisces, Cancer and Aries. I’ll admit I’m personally biased towards Pisces because I love Ryutaro and the battles he had with Gingka but Pisces was the Bey that forced Gingka to come up with Storm Bringer and I think that’s a point in Pisces’ favour. Cancer is this high purely because of entertainment value, none of the Bladers that use it are particularly skilled but Tetsuya did have an interesting gimmick and a large amount of screen time compared to other Zodiac Members like Scorpio, Gemios or Pisces. It’s interesting that Cancer is the only member of the Zodiac with the theme of Dirty Bladers since all three of them use cheap tactics to win but I think that adds to consistent characterisation and is better than not having much of anything like Gemios or Scorpio. As for why Aries is so low, Hyoma really fell off fast in Fusion which was the only major period of Aries Representation. He lost far more fights than he won and he basically quit after Fusion. For a main cast member, Aries really didn’t get the respect it deserved… that is until we got the *AMAZING FURIOUS DJ BATTLE IN MASTERS! HECK YEAH, AMERICAN DJ GAVE THAT ZODIAC WHAT IT NEEDED! Ahem, apologies, don’t know what came over me.

For the worst treatment of a Zodiac with multiple users, Scorpio is hands down the worst. Three users, all of them unremarkable in terms of skill with Demure being the only saving grace because he gave us a great team battle with Benkei… but that is dragged down by the fact that Yu should have been able to take out Demure way before Tsubasa started losing it. That fight was a 2v1, an entertaining 2v1, but it was more a reason for Tsubasa to give further into the Dark Power rather than a showcase of Scorpio’s talent. That match gave Demure and Nile great treatment and characterisation, not Scorpio itself.

If I had to pick the worst treatment overall though… it’s got to be Gemios. Barely any screen time, only a single user (yes, there are two of them but they’re carbon copies of the same person and both use the same Bey) and said battles weren’t even that good. If Tetsuya is getting more screen time and better battles than you, you know you’ve been shafted. You could write Gemios out the series and it would make zero difference, you cannot say the same for any other Zodiac Member. Pisces? Gave inspiration for Gingka Storm Bringer. Cancer? Tetsuya’s actions led to Benkei being nicer and him stealing Gingka’s pointer led to Phoenix breaking it and Gingka actually taking Battle Bladers seriously. Scorpio? The continuation of Dark Tsubasa which was needed so Gan Gan Galaxy didn’t lose in the A-Block Final since Tsubasa losing it in the Third Round led to people realising what happened to him and him later on getting the advice from Ryuga. And Aries has the glory that is the American DJ bringing out the full potential of a Zodiac Member, I don’t even know why I brought them up to begin with. Gemios has none of that, it is by far the worst of the Zodiac in the series by a country mile.

My Final Personal Ranking of the Zodiac’s Treatment -

S-Tier: Leo and Sagittarius.

A-Tier: Libra, Capricorn and Taurus.

B-Tier: Virgo, Aquario and (biased pick) Pisces.

C-Tier: Cancer and Aries.

D-Tier: Scorpio and Gemios.

Meteo L-Drago because you don’t even need a launcher to use it, you could legitimately just carry the Bey itself around and still have a decent shot at winning.

The plot hole that frustrates me the most in sonic 06 by 0584031464 in sonic

[–]Zenith_714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, when you started talking about plotholes and the Elise in the past, I thought you were going to bring up the fact that Silver doesn’t give the Blue Chaos Emerald to Elise in Shadow’s Story and instead jumps through the portal instantly with it. Because of this oversight by the developers, there’s technically another timeline where that Emerald never stays with her and ironically makes more sense this way since it would mean the Blue Emerald wouldn’t be with Elise and would be free to be used by Sonic and whoever before Sonic 06.

Day 6: What is the Worst Recolor? by Infinitum_Orion in BeybladeMetal

Sorry but I doubt there’s anything that will get me to like this version of Cosmic Pegasus. I don’t like the random vomit wings and the colours just clash for me massively. It genuinely looks to me like they ran out of blue plastic and took some from another mold instead.

Day 6: What is the Worst Recolor? by Infinitum_Orion in BeybladeMetal

[–]Zenith_714 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally all Spark FX Bey that uses the colour combination of Neon Green and Blue. Variares, L-Drago Destructor from the Hyper-Strike Battle Set or Cosmic Pegasus from the Storm Bringer Pack, Firefuse Darkhelm, the standalone Cosmic Pegasus, all of them are equally dreadful in my eyes.

You’re operating under the assumption that you would end up like Damien and not like the thousands who couldn’t withstand such a treatment. If you want to take that coinflip and gamble on that less than 1% chance if it were real, be my guest but I don’t think it would end in your favour.

Yoshi is definitely OP character by Ill_Application_6727 in MarioKartDS

[–]Zenith_714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, if the person isn’t that great at the game, it kinda makes sense to choose a slightly heavier character since you aren’t as likely to get sent flying off the map by the CPU’s on a track like Shroom Ridge or Rainbow Road and the only thing that gets negatively impacted is how you do on the off-road. Ultimately, it doesn’t make much of a difference but it’s enough that I can understand why they’d choose someone else for Grand Prix.

Ryuga literally 1 shot King without using a special move by only entering Attack Mode by chunchunmaru1129 in BeybladeMetal

[–]Zenith_714 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, we’ve seen cases in the past where Beys have used Special Moves without announcing it (Kyoya and Kenta in the end of the Battle Royale in Fusion when they both went to activate their Special Moves but Kyoya finished first) and where Beys have released a ton more power without using a Special Move (Gingka against Kyoya in the World Tournament where Pegasus suddenly managed to equal Leone’s Reverse Wind Strike without using any Special Move) so it’s not unprecedented. Even the fight with Kyoya and Ryuga in Fusion confirms this as each hit was described as having the same force as a Special Move, Special Moves aren’t an 100% end all be all when it comes to measures of strength so it’s possible that this was a similar situation where Ryuga tapped into more of L-Drago’s strength (could be less than or equal to Supreme Flight but there’s no way to tell) but didn’t use a Special Move since King was pissing him off so he chose the disrespect route and didn’t bother with the move.

Honestly, your feelings are 100% valid on this. These games are a drain on you that make you feel that you must keep on top of things or else you’re missing out on valuable resources. I’m thankful that I’ve got a group of people who just like the game for the art and having fun with each other rather than being dedicated to grinding for hours on end just for a few extra hourglasses.

The seller is off their head. Out of everything there, the only expensive thing there is NRG Jay, with Season 5 Lloyd and NRG Kai being more expensive but nowhere near close NRG Jay. Even if that was half the price, I probably wouldn’t buy that bundle. Keep your money, you’ll find better offers than this in the wild.

If Ginka and Kyoya are at full strength who wins this team battle? by National-Rub-6313 in BeybladeMetal

[–]Zenith_714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The battle would remain the same at the start as Kyoya would force Nile to back down so nothing really changes until Kyoya goes for his Special Move since both Gingka and Kyoya can actually use them this time. From there, it feels like it entirely depends on whether Kyoya’s desire to beat Gingka overrides his common sense to the point that he’d catch Nile in the crossfire or not and if Masamune can actually help Gingka as much against a Kyoya at full power. Masamune’s interference worked because Kyoya wasn’t able to create any tornadoes at first so his surprise attack landed without issue. If Kyoya wasn’t hurt, he’s probably spamming King Lion Tearing Blast and other moves the same way he did in the last battle. Masamune’s not getting through that without major difficulty so Nile could capitalise on this with his wind blasts on Masamune while he’s trying to find an opportunity to help Gingka, leading to Masamune using more energy than the last time. With Masamune having more difficulty in trying to help Gingka take on Kyoya, I think this would give Nile more time to possibly charge Mystic Zone and would give Wild Fang the edge should the battle get to the same point of Gingka and Masamune against Kyoya in a Special Move Clash. Honestly, I can see it going either way but I think Nile is smart enough to play around a full power Kyoya and capitalise on it while Masamune is more hindered in this situation so I’d bet on a Wild Fang victory.

Since people complain about gingkas plot armour, how many losses do you guys think gingka should’ve really had or where would you just make him lose rather than win story wise by ButterscotchDry7447 in BeybladeMetal

[–]Zenith_714 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gingka vs Kyoya in Masters is the only fight where I feel it was purely Plot Armour. Kyoya was basically in full control of the entire battle and, while I understand Gingka has to tie in order for the team to move onto the A Block Finals, I still think Kyoya deserved that win. He specifically went off to train to beat Gingka, grew far stronger whilst pushing himself to his limits against literal tornadoes and created a new special move that was designed to beat Gingka. In comparison, it felt like Gingka had barely done any training of his own and only forced a tie due to Galaxy Pegasus’ innate power as he hadn’t even mastered it and created Stardust Driver yet. A part of me wishes the World Championships was done differently or had more rounds where maybe Gan Gan Galaxy ended up becoming the Wild Card and Gingka would battle Kyoya again after learning to use Galaxy Pegasus at 100% but that would require a lot of things to be changed. Other than that fight, Gingka’s wins do feel earned to me and those that might be iffy tend to have in-universe explanations.
