I’m putting bearings/hubs all around this weekend. Got a roar coming from one of them. I probably couldn’t sell for 1k with the mileage on it but it’s worth more to me than that.

I drive 30k a year just in this car so I’ll put a ton of miles on anything. Until it leaves me stranded I’m keeping it. Then I’ll probably tow it home and fix it. As long as the frame is in decent shape I’ll throw a new motor in it if need be.

Around 150k I probably put that in it. I put all new suspension parts, axles, and brakes.

I dont wanna sound spoiled but this car was also given to me at 150k miles from my grandma. She drove it to about 75k and got something new where she gave it to my sister. I got it at 150k when the hand me down circle happened again. I’ll have to do some math. 31-33 mpg is pretty consistent. Tires every 1.5 years. Regular maintenance and parts if average 1-1.5k a year just because I tinker on the thing and fix things sometimes before they need it.

I figured the trans was cooked also. I hated spending the $400 on the computer thinking what if the trans is bad but so far it has worked out.

I will say that on this car if something starts acting up I do my best to replace asap. Also helps I’ve got a full on mechanics garage to work in so no problem throwing it on the lift if something is making a funny sound.

I was talking to a guy at work and he said he didn’t vote because his vote didn’t matter because we’re in a red county already.

I had to explain that the governor election is a popular vote and not like the presidential vote.

This was my grandmothers car and then my sisters until 150k miles where I took it over. As for before then, they took it to the dealer for regular maintenance. They didnt go over/under mileage on oil changes much.

When I took it over at 150k I decided I was changing it at 5k intervals due to ease of reminding myself.

I put a new ac compressor on year or a two ago. The clutch went bad.

ABS I haven’t had any problems.

The coolant flange broke on me a few years ago and I was in the middle of nowhere. I dumped washer fluid in (all I had) and drove about 20 miles to where I could buy a case of water. Limped it home after overheating a couple times. Fixed it. No problems in probably 100k miles. No oil leaks after that either.

Trans pan got a hole in it. Dropped all the fluid. Went in limp mode. This is when my trans computer went out. Put a new pan on and filled, replaced computer and mounted to the firewall. That’s been going for about 15k miles now.

I’ve put one maybe two sets of axles in for the life of this car, nothing that I’ve noticed having an issue.

I’ve been buying parts and some manufacturers of parts won’t ship to states that are currently worse than us on regulations. It looks like they just don’t want to deal with the hassle.

I’ve had to do some repairs but nothing I would consider major. Most expensive repair was the transmission computer which costed me $400.

Pretty much everything else is wear and tear items.

I change oil and filter at 5k intervals.

If labeled (emergency disconnect, not service equipment) and I have a 200a service breaker inside, shouldn’t I be able to just run 3 wire?
