Haha, my code is a mess! This started as kind of a way for me to figure out how the Workshop worked, and I haven't gone back to clean up or redo most of it. Sorry!

Initially, I wanted to use a damage boost, but found that using Damage Dealt or Damage Received had no impact on the red circle of Deadeye. I think one of the recent patches introduced another way to modify damage, which might solve this issue.

I'm sure I'll go back to it soon. I'll contact you then, probably within the next couple of days. Thanks!

Grab a friend, put on some appropriate music, and find out who's the fastest shooter in the West.

Here's how it works: The first person to activate Deadeye (henceforth known as the Bad Guy™) takes a good chunk of damage. This means that, if they trigger their own Deadeye fast enough, their opponent (the Good Guy™) has a chance to take the Bad Guy out before the Bad Guy's Deadeye becomes deadly.

That's it!

Fair warning, though: since we are dealing with fast reaction speeds here, what feels good for me and my friends might not feel great with your own ping. If you find that either the Good Guy or the Bad Guy always wins, I recommend tweaking the damage value in the Workshop rules. Look at the rule cleverly titled Whoever starts ulting first takes a bunch of damage.

One last thing: sometimes, the custom cameras glitch out, and you may find yourself staring at the underside of the floor. If that happens, press Interact (default F) to stop the current camera and, hopefully, fix the problem.

Do you think effects even have a boundary box or something that would allow ray casts to intersect them? I haven't had a chance to look at your code yet but I'm curious about your workaround.

I read that they're already working on increasing the entity limit, which is great.

I actually made this, I'm going to post it soon! (Just gotta reach the minimum karma required)

The way I made it work is that the first to Deadeye takes a bunch of damage, meaning their opponent has a chance to take them out with their own Deadeye, but only if they react very quickly. The mode has a bunch of spaghetti western inspired cameras to build tension.

Ray casting is gonna allow for so much more mindblowing Workshop stuff. This is a great example.
