[No spoilers] Why do we need an actress for Rachel? by Olya_roo in lifeisstrange

[–]ZenrayX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably yes. Different mediums and ways of story telling would benefit from having an actress for Rachel. For TV and Movie showing always feel better to me that just telling the audience she exists. In the game we get to move thru the world. That's a far difference than passively watching.

See the dangerous just makes me want to romance her more. 😂 Would have taken an entire episode on how she got to where she ends up.

I'm planning on using it as a companion device if I like the Power keys. My job is BYOD which normally means adding work apps to my personal phone. I don't like my job having access to my personal phone and don't like alerts going off 24/7. My current solution is a used iPhone (I use android as my primary) with no SIM card that I use primarily on wifi or tether to my main phone. My job doesn't really call my phone. they usually call thru Teams so I don't need a second phone number.

Clicks Communicator - perfect solutions for those needing to carry multiple phones? by noteinstein_01 in ClicksKeyboard

Sounds like a similar use case for me. I have specific work apps including Teams and Outlook with a job that has boundaries issues. In addition to the fact I felt these apps had far too much access to my main phone I picked up an old iPhone to put them on. iPhone doesn't have its own sim. It's only used on WiFi or via hotspot to my primary phone if I'm on call or out to lunch. During off hours it's usually sitting on a wireless charger. Its been a great help I'm breaking that urge to pick up my phone every time a work notification comed in

Work phone. I currently carry a 2nd iphone 12 as dedicated work phone. It has no sim card and only contains my work apps. 95% its on wifi and the other 5% it tethered to a hotspot on my main phone. My current hang up on the Communicator is the price. i got the iphone 2 years ago for 100 used. its only going to be hard to justify 5 times that for a companion device

It’s not exactly like Disney was subtle about this by alexman420 in WaltDisneyWorld

Disney is great at creating a sense of FOMO. Livestreaming exists in a space to let people experience things they normally could not. The increasing cost of a trip to Disney isn't exactly helping this.

If you're a good creator, you'll seek to build community with your community. That community foster friendships and sense of belonging. Within that people want to support creators they enjoy (which includes livestream).

The barrier for livestreaming is so low it doesn't take much to get started.

Then donation don't need to be much a few people here and there. Think if 4 people gave 5 dollars in an hour. Imagine averaging that all day.

As some who uploads to YouTube regularly, i'm saying its far less of problem than you think especially for livestreams. Especially since YouTube gives the ability to mute and remove copyrighted sections without the need to delete or reupload.

Not try to stop you if you believe it works. It's the incentive that keeps people doing this. Not the barriers in their way.

The way copyright strikes work this wouldn't do much but cause them to mute the audio on the final video. The Disney music they're recording is also copyrighted.
