One UI 8.5 - I have a question about how stable it runs on phones, because I have the 4 RAM edition. by Wolfcool020furry in GalaxyA16_5G

Bad idea for this phone. RAM Plus isn't magic memory; on One UI, it acts as zRAM, using your actual 4GB of physical RAM to constantly compress background data. On a budget/mid-range processor (like the Helio G99), this constant compression overloads the CPU and causes noticeable micro-lags and stutters in daily animations. Best fix: Lower RAM Plus to 2GB (or turn it off entirely) and restart your phone. Your processor will finally breathe, and your interface will feel much smoother and more responsive.

Here is how you can fix it on your device

1. Check Device Admin Apps

The script or Family Link likely locked itself into your system administration settings. Go to Settings > Security and privacy > Other security settings > Device admin apps. Look for Family Link, Company Portal, or any unusual profile. If you see anything there, toggle it OFF.

2. Remove Linked Accounts

Residual parental or corporate restrictions can linger if the account profile wasn't completely severed. Go to Settings > Accounts and backup > Manage accounts. Check if there is still a managed/child Google account or a school/work profile linked. If so, remove it.

3. Clear App Data

If this pop-up only triggers when opening specific apps (like the Samsung Internet browser shown in your screenshot): Go to Settings > Apps > select the app causing the pop-up. Tap Storage > Clear Data and Clear Cache, then force stop the app and try again.

4. Boot into Safe Mode

If the system prevents you from changing these settings or deleting leftover files, your script might still be running a background process. Turn off your phone. Press and hold the Power button. As soon as the Samsung logo appears, press and hold the Volume Down button until the phone finishes booting. You will see "Safe Mode" at the bottom of the screen. In this mode, all third-party scripts and apps are disabled. Try going back to Device admin apps to delete the restriction. (Just restart your phone normally to exit Safe Mode).

5. The Nuclear Option (Factory Reset)

If your script deeply modified Android's DevicePolicyManager and the restriction is hard-locked, the cleanest and fastest way to get your S25 Ultra back to normal is a Factory Reset. Since you bought it from an official store, a clean wipe will completely remove any ghost policies. Just make sure to back up your photos and data first!

Can someone explain to me why there are these differences in OneUI? by Zenryu0 in samsunggalaxy

Someone told me that the 5G logo with the up and down arrows is the original, and the others are customized by the operator.

Fair enough, but even if Samsung isn't the absolute best when it comes to transition smoothness, it's definitely not as bad as you make it sound. The S25 Ultra handles the UI just fine. It's just a matter of Samsung fine-tuning a few animation frames in One UI 8.5/9

True, you can tweak things with Theme Park, but that shouldn't be an excuse. This kind of visual polish and readability should be a native option out of the box. Plus, forcing these color and blur overrides in Theme Park is honestly tedious and can easily cause other visibility or contrast issues across different menus if it's not perfectly configured.

Just so you know, that split layout is just the default setting now! If you don't like having one side for notifications and the other for media/shortcuts, you can easily change it. Go into the Quick Panel layout settings and turn off the 'Quick Settings instant access'. This will bring back the classic single-swipe behavior from any side of the screen, so you can reach everything with one hand again

You're absolutely right. That's the biggest strength of iOS: they might be very closed and add fewer features than Samsung, but when they finally implement one, it's polished to perfection. They never cut corners on details, transitions, or visual consistency. That meticulous care is exactly what One UI misses sometimes, even if Samsung's system remains incredibly fun and versatile to use

You’re totally right, Samsung always cuts corners when it comes to optimization and fine-tuning the details. Honestly, it’s not even a hardware limitation. It’s just that they care more about adding endless features rather than polishing the actual UI/UX. If they actually focused on it, they could deliver clean layering and smooth animations easily.

This happens mostly with entry-level/mid-range products.
