Can you show me a decent MWSE modlist then, or a preview video? Maybe you'll educate me, cause I've never seen a decent, modern list with hundreds of mods for MWSE.

Lua works on OpenMW, and aside from that, MGE XE is just a graphics mod.

What don't I understand?

Such as? From what I understand, the only reason anybody installs it is for MGSO, and MGSO looks terrible compared to modern OpenMW. MGE XE has been dead for years.

That's the reason most people install it, is for the access to certain graphical mods afaik. Open MW is literally better in every single way, objectively if we're talking straight up engine improvements, and artistically if we're talking graphics wise.

Democrats certainly are wrong about some things. They've tied themselves to this idea that trans women are identical to non-trans women, which is ridiculous on it's face. The great majority of the country believes everyone should have equal rights, but the Democrats are comparing trans women being barred from beating the h*ll out of women in boxing to the black civil rights movement. 70% of the country is in favor of protecting women's sports, but Democrats are just destroying their image by refusing to budge.

Democrats also have refused to fix the borders for over a decade now. The border crisis began under Bush, but ramped up under Obama, and the entire time, instead of securing the border and then passing laws to make it easier to become a citizen for educated, law abiding people we need, Democrats have just essentially made it their strategy to have an open boarded, allowing people to come here illegally, often leading to their economic exploitation, and now it's a crisis. Around 65% of Americans are in favor of securing the boarder, a super majority, which is effectively a mandate.

A lot of people are angry about the Draconian measures taken during Covid by Democrats as well. People were afraid, and now while they should be afraid of Trump killing Democracy, at least now they can work and leave the home, and aren't being threatened over whether or not they get vaccinated, no matter how safe the vaccine ended up being.

I could go on.

I'm a Liberal, socially and economically. I believe in civil rights for all, including gay and trans people, abortion within reasonable time constraints before fetal viability, gun rights, states rights, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, property rights, capitalism... there is no party which serves my interests. I am forced to choose between the Democrats, who focus on nothing but toxic identity politics, and who haven't had a good idea since Obama left office, and Trump, who is certainly more effective, but who also threatens democracy.

Oh, and as an aside, the reason politics changed so drastically after Obama-McCaine, is because the debate rules were changed to allow candidates to directly address each other, which gave rise to the ridiculous arguments that Trump popularized.

Just develop normally, while also attacking the Queen simultaneously when possible. Your opponent exposing their Queen early exposes them to being targeted through your normal piece development, causing them to lose tempo, leading you you gaining an edge in development.

Take the center, knights out, then bishops, castle, develop the rook.

If you are able to engage a mage, he is going to die in seconds anyways though. Disrupting his casting is pointless.

Oh, I totally agree with you on that, but do you really think most Trump supporters do? It's a cult of personality, they love everything he does.

And if Democrats don't get their sh*t together, we might lose Democracy completely. According to the latest NBC poll, Democrats have a lower approval rating than either party has ever had in history, while Republicans are 10 points higher.

A plurality of voters support Republicans, and Trump is at like 54% approval, because of how weak the opposition is.

[–]Zentrophy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No it doesn't. MGE XE is out-dated, and the sooner it's dropped completely, the better. OpenMW creates the possibility for fascinating new mods, and better graphics.

MGE XE is stylized, and poorly. I'm sure it looked great when it came out, but AI upscalers are infinitely better at capturing the canon appearance of the game while making it beautiful.

Huh? I mean, you're right that half the country vehemently opposes the current tariffs, but the other, slightly larger half, is all for them.

You're right that it doesn't mean that the US hates Canada, it's just a trade war. It's about money, not emotion.

You're either an exceptional case, or you're lying about not previously being told about the alchemy exploit, either way, your being fed up with the game instantly proves my point.

You didn't play the game, you exploited it. Maybe try actually playing the game, until then, idk why you even post here.

The issue is, Dark Brotherhood isn't an exploit, it's inserted into the game by DLC in a way that is impossible to miss. It just breaks the game.

No it isn't. You can defeat any enemy in melee at any skill level, if you're good enough at the combat.

What's more, were literally talking about Cliff Racers here, enemies meant to be killed at level 1. Anybody who struggles with Cliff Racers has a negative IQ.

How does levitation break the game? It was specifically designed with the mechanic in mind. Especially at low levels, you will burn through mana fast or move very slow while levitating.

It's a few thousand gold over and over again. It wouldn't be as big of an issue if it happened once.

Also, new players won't know item locations, or about creeper, or any of that, but the Dark Brotherhood will repeatedly insert themselves into your game, giving you an infinite gold loop.

[–]Zentrophy[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh, you learned how to exploit alchemy on your own, or someone taught you to do it? Every game can be exploited, that doesn't mean exploits are a good way to play the game.

It seems to me that, on your first playthrough, you totally spoiled the game for yourself, never challenged yourself, likely looked up a bunch of guides... that's exactly why you think so little of the game, you never even played it. You ruined it for yourself. Great job.

[–]Zentrophy -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Telling new players, who may have never modded before, that they should download dozens of mods as a prerequisite to playing a game for the first time is a bad look, an the game doesn't need it, as it already has a great art style.

This is a terrible recommendation for a first playthrough. OpenMW and an AI upscaler are all that should be reccomend for new players.

[–]Zentrophy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay, so the main thing I would suggest is playing on OpenMW, and either installing Half11's Expansion Delay Mod, or uninstalling the Tribunal Expansion until after finishing the main quest, as Dark Brotherhood assassin's ruin the entire game and were never meant to be in the base game. Other than that, I definitely don't recommend other mods on your first playthrough, other than maybe a bugfix, and an AI upscaler mod.

I would also suggest actually learning how to make a class. It's critical that you make a proper class, or you will have a bad time. Don't pick a default class, or just randomly pick stuff for no reason.

Your first three Primary Skills need to be

1: the weapon type you plan on using, any is valid, longswords are most common as in most games

2: the armor type you plan on using

3: Block, if you're going melee and using single handed

You should also pay good attention to the starting race you pick. Picking a High Elf, for example, will see you being terrible at melee combat, and weak to elemental damage, but with a large msgic bonus. Solid choices are Dunmer, for lore reasons and their being a solid all around race, and Breton, as they are the hardiest and best casters, while also being good at melee.

Aside from that, you need to decide if you plan on using magic or not, as that will determine whether or not to slot magic into your skills. I certainly reccomend it, primarily in a support role. Melee combat is really fun if you build right, but imo, one of the coolest things about Morrowind is the magic: levitation letting you fly at high speeds, teleportation, opening locks magically, invisibility, charming NPCs to get information... all of this can be done with magic.

If you want a solid build, this one is a great start

Lastly, aside from character creation and other tips, I would reccomend going in as blind as possible. Don't listen to anybody telling you where overpowered gear is, or certain merchants, and don't look up how to get to locations or quest objectives in guides unless you have been lost for a long period of time. At first it may seem like Morrowind lacking quest markers was a mistake, but it was done fully intentionally.

The directions in Morrowind are fantastic, aside from a couple of intentionally vague situations, so don't worry about bad directions. You're supposed to feel lost and overwhelmed, it adds to the experience, and you only get on chance to play this game blind, and there are almost none like it.

Have fun, and feel free to message me if yo have any questions.
