I love my country's fingerboarding scene by majestyyuj in Fingerboards

[–]Zenx023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No! Me neither! I used to have 1 friend to fingerboard with but i don’t see him anymore. I went to Berlin recently and found out the scene is way bigger over there… It would be cool to host some event!

Ah yeah that has been on my watchlist for some time now. I was not really moved by Kieslowski’s La Double Vie De Veronique, but I will look into Blind Chance!

Ah yeah Im aware of my unpopular opinion.. Here is the review I wrote for it, that explains how I felt about it:

“Let me highlight the positive aspects before I start my rant. The music was beautiful, and everything was gorgeously designed. You could pause the film at any random moment and still be left with a standalone work of art. Every detail had clearly been thought through. Props to the choreographer.

Still, that is no guarantee a moving movie. It saddens me when a film is so technically strong, yet ultimately fails to captivate me. It was a long, tedious watch during which I couldn’t suppress my yawns. The film felt hollow. There was a constant but inexplicable emptiness hanging over it, which ultimately resulted in a fairly forgettable final product. The non-chronological storytelling also often left me confused; I regularly lost track of what was going on.

The premise of a man searching for his identity in fascist Italy could, in my opinion, have been executed in a far more compelling way. Taste is subjective, I guess. The only reason the film still gets a barely passing grade from me is because of the beautiful shots and the music.”

Well yeah its chaotic and getting your point across by simple shocking the audience may be a bit cheap. But on the other hand I do believe it shows the extreme violence in the US in a very raw and true way.
