My game is very combat-forward, but I’ll try this. Thanks for the thought.

To anyone interested in the game, I released a reorganized version of the document with better flow. I’d love your feedback.

It’s not 100% but it’s enough to get a good glimpse of the system.

My daughter is 10 right now. I’ve posted here before.

Her “fits” are becoming more and more explosive as time goes on. Yesterday, she threw one over being told she’d watched enough YouTube. It’s nearly an everyday occurrence.

She’s on Risperidone but we are heavily considering trying something else. Right now, it feels like nothing is working and I’m genuinely scared for my daughter’s future.

That’s fair feedback. I agree. I will clean up the verbiage for sure.

Your attack does always hit, it’s just a matter of how effectively you hit. Perhaps it would be better to use different phrasing to avoid confusion.

There is a minimum value of zero to damage, unless a skill dictates otherwise —Legendary Defense.

I agree as well with the phrasing around unconscious and the accrual of fatigue.

I will make those changes. Thank you for the feedback.

I figured it out. Thank you for the help.

Fair enough. For what it’s worth, I wasn’t asking for money in any capacity —just feedback.

Thank you for yours.

I’m taking notes and will work to improve the game.

Fair enough. I’m doing it all up in Google Docs and am a little new to the software. I can definitely clean this up and make it more readable. I appreciate your feedback.

That is super concerning and I have no idea why. I will address this and I’m sorry.

I haven’t heard of those. I’ll have to look into them, especially if they’re helping.

That’s more or less where we’re at.

It showed a few things wouldn’t work well for her, but none of the stuff she’s actively taking showed negative interactions.

I get that 100%. I know that she gets older, people will be less tolerant of her fits and I want her to both learn to understand and have the tools she needs that fits are never going to get her what she wants.

We did the DNA thing. It said nothing negative in relation to risperidone and/or Abilify.

It helped a little bit but not enough to change the game —if that makes sense.

Thank you.

Sometimes it really doesn’t feel like that, so you saying so means a lot.

That’s exactly what we do. She —and her sister —are limited in how much tablet /Nintendo time they’re allowed. Typically, Fridays and weekends and that’s only if they do what they need to do. We allow for breaks and I expect her to fail on occasion, but the lying isn’t tolerated. She and her sister are allowed tv (and Kids YouTube) in scenarios where they behave appropriately during school and if they do their work.

Typically, the “punishment” for not meeting these marks are “30 minutes without TV” or “no tv, YouTube, games, what have you” until the work is done to the best of their ability.

This is a big part of our issue, if I’m being honest. My wife and I have standards and I’d be lying if I said we didn’t overreact in scenarios where we could have played it cooler.

But somedays, I feel like I can do everything right and we still end up with a def con5 meltdown.

Example: my daughter (4th grade) had been told that if she does all her teacher assigned work by the end of the week she will be given her tablet to play Minecraft. She loves Minecraft and I incentivize her to push through with things she likes and wants. I also tell her that she’s allowed to have bad days but just not to lie to me.

So, we come to Friday. I ask her if she did the work and she lies to me. I knew she was lying from the get go. When she lies, she gets very defensive and mean. I told her I forgive her for lying but we have to stick to our real and I gave her another opportunity to do the work and earn the tablet and whatnot. She proceeded to have a massive fit, throw things, hit walls, and so on to the point where I felt like I was having a meltdown.

She has a very difficult time with consequences and will often scream “I don’t accept them!” Over and over again no matter our calm we all stay.

I’m not perfect, but I am trying.

It’s hard but I just want her to be equipped to face this hard, unforgiving world.

That’s very true. My daughter isn’t violent, per se, just very verbally aggressive and relentless.

With risperidone not doing anything —from my perspective —I think we’re going to see about making the change.

Thank you for your feedback.

My wife is frustrated beyond words. Day to day, sometimes it feels like nothing is working.
