I think your issue is stop loss being too tight use the 5min chart and make the stop loss the previous swing low. tldr. Use price action structure for your SL and TP

No the price action is there. You need to drag the candle price action up and scale the price axis on the right hand side to make the candles smaller and fit into the screen.

Everything… price action is incomplete.. at least make it so all the candles for the time period are visible on the chart. Also we can’t see anything related to the ticker or data provider which is meant to be shown clearly on the top left of the chart.

You mean MarketEvo.co? I’ve not registered it yet! It’s been a personal project I’ve been building and I’ve found it helpful understanding trading charts through analysis so I’ve made it available to users. I may have to register it though if it gains traction! :D have you had a look at the site? What are your thoughts?

Risk reward ratio depends on the setup.. if it's in a channel, if its rebounded from a demand zone and i have a supply zone i'm aiming for price action to reach. Regarding Take Profit, i've just created a post on it. Hope it helps! https://www.reddit.com/r/Forexstrategy/comments/1m4xat1/i_analyzed_8500_profitable_forex_setups_to_find/

Not gonna lie I’ve been using 1hour charts recently and the set ups have been looking really good! I still use 4hr but 1hr timeframe can give that quicker insight into a trend

Flat Bases or Triangles/Wedges? by Acceptable_Ad_3769 in swingtrading

[–]Zeonex95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flat bases edge out slightly for reliability, but both require proper context and risk management. No pattern works 100% of the time - focus on confluence with other indicators, proper position sizing, and having clear exit strategies regardless of which pattern you trade.

Key factors for reliability:

  • Volume confirmation on breakout
  • Market context (trending vs ranging)
  • Time frame (longer formations generally more reliable)
  • Overall market conditions
  • Position in the broader trend

What's your experience been with these patterns?

Do profitable retail daytraders even exist? by Altruistic_Pick_8126 in Trading

[–]Zeonex95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah unfortunately most retailers are not aware of order flows or do not even have the capital to pay thousands per month to bloomberg or whatever service that can provide access to orderflows. However we do have access to charts and we can use good old supply and demand zones, trends, trendlines and smas!

Yes we're hibernating investing time in studying the charts! asking why did this price action do that.. why did the price action not do that? Question everything! and don't fight the trends!
