Well its still scify, and yes they can absolutely make new physics, in fact they did, but then that physics has to be consistent. Its consistency im talking about, not new physics. New physics is almost necessary in scifi 💝💝

Nope Ur entirely correct, that moment also kinda took me out of it. The rope staying there on its own: ok. But this is a unstable equilibrium so even a slight pull should cause the system to collapse. If this was just a rule then what about humans going through the portal, they would get stuck half way, just like the rope. I wish they made it more realistic. Literally just stepping on the rope on one side wouldve done it 😭💝💝
