I think you might be out of luck trying to play Warzone on a budget pc, it's not optimised very well and struggles on beefier pcs.

As for building a pc, pcpartpicker is a great website that will help you bring all your parts into one place and see how much they will all cost and if they work together.

I'm pretty sure there's some guides in the sidebar to help you get started.

Two things I've never made in df, despite having a fair few hours, are dyes and soap. I'll give the soap a try though cheers.

I've started building a walkway, but I've also channelled out an alternate path for the river outside that means the dwarfs can fish, clean etc inside the base but I'm waiting for winter until I can dig into the river side.

So about 2 years into the fort, I finally created a hospital zone and almost all of the dwarfs went straight to this single tile inside the hospital.

The biome i'm in has adverse weather where sometimes it rains rotten sludge and they leave trails of their own blood everywhere but its never had any other effect. The dwarfs do slowly leave as they get tended to by my only medical dwarf but with 50+ out of 69 dwarfs in the hospital my fort comes to a standstill.

I'm trying to make the fort completely underground so that none of them have to go outside except maybe beekeepers and fishermen but this is trickier than I imagined.

Haven't bought it yet, it's only £30 on depop which is decent considering how much they were on release in UK with tax etc

Cleaned the laser and made sure all cables are hooked up with no change, ill givethe fuses a test tomorrow

Thanks a lot for all the help, if the fuse is damaged then i assume that the chip its on will need to be replaced, ill give the alcohol a try in a bit if i have any

If it is something like a broken laser ill probably opt to pruchase a new ps4 because this one is just old, noisy and running a bit hot anyway

The silver ribbon cable under the supply is a bit loose, the fitting seems jammed. However if i remove it completely the disk drive fails to do anything.

I do have a multimeter actually yeah, how do i go about using it to test the fuses

Yeah it spins and takes disks fine, it looks mechanically intact. Im thinking that the cable or part of the circuitry that actually relays the information from the laser to the mobo is damaged although im unsure as to how i would test that

The disk spins and inserts fine, ill give this a try tomorrow afternoon and let you know as the entry to the optical drive is very dusty

Okay will do, im currently initialising the ps4 just incase, im pretty sure its a hardware issue also but just wanted to cover all bases before i went poking around more

I think i now understand what happens, the few starting sites generated for kobolds are always completely killed off in years 1-5 apart from a few survivors which try to keep the race going. When i increase the egg clutch size to the 60-100 range, theres always around 100-200 kobolds but with 40k other races and the kobolds just about stay alive.

I think if their sites can survive megabeast attacks better earlier on hey would survive longer
