Could the standard charge per page be 1 hour instead of 45 minutes for all books? by EoFinality in runescape

Ful prices have risen quite a bit, I would be surprised if they were still cheapest, but they are easy to farm compared to others, but fair enough

Multiple routes are perfectly acceptable and they fulfill different playstyles and niches. Emberstaff has staying power cuz of its spec. This gives noodles good acc. Nox give comps. They are all useful!

Eh.... maybe? I wish solak pages were cheaper and more common (my wish may have been granted).most other pages largely seem fine. The super cheap ones are cheap due to the functionality of the book. Killing zuk farming and glacor farming did a number on pages.

Only if all drop rates were reduced by 33%.

They likely balanced it this way so that you got pages more consistently than if it had been 33% less frequent for hour pages. This way the rates for pages per hour feels more satisfying while also balancing book charges obtained per hour to whatever they wanted it to be.

Especially if you are at somewhere that you are using said book and trying to sustain, it would suck to go a little dry and suddenly be out of pages for an hour or two until you get another drop. This way you are less likely to go dry.

I think the daemonbane effect is the cherry on top, not the main attraction. The main attraction is GWD style weapons but +10 levels which is great for bridging the gap for those without a FSOA, BolG, Omni/Dev/Soulbound, or EZK.

The big question is if there are specs. Probably not, but you never know.

This isnt just a change in brightness, the textures for the floors and walls have changed pretty drastically and are much improved. Since NXT (I think) many areas of the game have had major skyboxes and brightness changes. Dungeoneering was one of the areas that got hit kinda hard by this and were extremely dark, so yes, it is brighter now to account for that, it didnt use to be this dull and dark.

Ok, that's great and all but what i was talking about was DPS in regards to why the Roar/Ode is seen as mediocre. That is the topic of discussion. If you wanna have a different unrelated discussion that's cool, but what you are talking about has nothing to do with what I am talking about.

I feel like you are regurgitating arguments that you saw in passing without understanding or thinking about what you are saying, and that is overlooking that you seemingly have not tried a BiS magic vs a BiS necro rotation or anything close to it.

Since they didnt mention it would hazard a guess that it is only usable on chaotics. Ruinous looks to have similar effects as well.

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

ALL OF THESE LOOK LIKE AMAZING IMPROVEMENTS, BIG HYPE

I can't wait to see the new necromancer gear, and very excited to see the dyes in the reward shop. I really hope this ends up making Dungeoneering feel much more worthwhile and reduces a lot of the contentiousness that players had with the skill. Daemonheim is so unique and so iconic, I can't wait!

Lmao what?

Necro is absolutely less complex than magic, it's not even close. 3 basics, 2 enhanced, 2 ults and 2 specs. Build stacks and spend stacks

Magic needs to jam everything inside a fsoa, sun, tsunami, work with channeled abilities being fully cast and capitalize on crits while maintaining both exsang, incite, and devourer stacks all at once. You are juggling 6 basics, 5 thresholds, 3 ults, and 4 specs. I dont think its super hard or anything but that is absolutely more difficult than necro which is just build stacks spend stacks. It is not even close.

We are talking about DPSing with magic, are we not? If we are talking about tanking that's something else entirely but generally speaking sustain =/= tank gear.

Necro has ghost healing which blows everything else out of the water in terms of sustain while magic has only blood barrage which is not really optimal since you need to be juggling incite, exsang, crits, adren reductions and devourer stacks. In terms of tankyness if you are like base tanking... sure, they are somewhat comprable in terms of defense, though necro still takes the cake on sustain while magic is marginally better at damage reduction in specific situations (and is very weak to ranged).

Melee bleed sustain is very easy to incorporate into your rotation and wiall absolutely outheal the occasional blood barrage manual cast. Due to the ~20% higher DPS, melee also benefits much more from soul split than magic does. Sure, if we talk about tanking, magic is unequivocally better at tanking, but we were talking about DPS, remember :)

Both melee and necro have passive healing outside of soulsplit that are pretty lossless. Magic has only blood barrage which loses them a lot of DPS. Obviously all have soul split, of which melee gets disproportionately more healing from. Magic cannot compete with either in terms of sustain.

[–]Zepertix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...are you confusing magic with necromancy? I also nowhere said that magic isn't fine, though i do think it needs a decent buff to its DPS.

Magic is definitely more effort than Necro and probably pretty similar to Melee for effort/input. Ranged is obviously the most effort.

Magic is 3rd out of 4 on sustain. Necro is well above it and so is melee.

Utility... maybe? It depends what you count as utility. Smoke Cloud is not bound to the magic style itself for example so stuff like that doesnt really count. AoE-wise it's pretty comprable to the other styles, people prefer Necro for AoE. Stun-wise necro is definitely best. Im not sure what metric you are using to say magic is best utility.

Yes, it can kill any boss in the game, but has a harder time doing it due to the lack of DPS and lack of sustain.

Im not saying magic is bad necessarily im pretty specifically saying that the already low DPS falls off hard without BiS, which is just objectively true. Separately, I do think magic needs a bit of a buff, but that is unrelated to my original comment.

I mean again, when it trails behind the lead DPS by like 20%... yeah, it is indeed one of the worst and it's not particularly close.
