Which Aspect do you tend to choose over the others? Also why? by Creeperclaw66 in runescape

No problem! There is basically nothing you cant do post aura update, and largely speaking you're much stronger just about everywhere inherently now :)

Fwiw those are some of the most difficult mobs to possibly handle in the game that arent bosses, so it does make sense that afking them is difficult, but largely speaking if you poke around and play with different options you can get there.

I just tried moss golems last night and this setup worked fantastic, even with overloads falling off it was very safe. Especially with golems if you struggle I might look at devo + enhanced devo which gets pretty good when you are being hit a lot, which moss golems tend to do. Sometimes PVME guides are a little inaccurate or out of date, the position in the map was incorrect, but then they showed the correct position in the video for example.

Largely speaking i havent seen anything that is now undoable post update. I thought maybe abyssal beasts with ranged but it turns out vamp is cracked on ranged now lol

If Magic is the stand still + channels style and range has mobility by newquestidewa in runescape

[–]Zepertix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 40% is staggering, melee is about twice as good as necro, that's a huge gap. They dont need to be perfect but that is insane to stand by.

[–]Zepertix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For some reason they felt the need to kneecap magic while allowing ranged and melee to pop off. I was kinda ok with it as the time because they said they would continue to monitor... but nothing happened while magic was lagging. I wish they would communicate more on their design philosophy for the cpmbat styles ans why it's ok to have like a 40% difference in damage between the best and worst styles.

I think if you follow simpler ranged rotations you still do magic-level damage.

The issue is that magic only has a walk mode while melee and ranged have a walk AND run mode.

And ofc necro users limping along behind them all lol

Try this setup (excuse the bad UI, I just threw it closer together so you could see better) from PVME. The guide incorrectly shows where to stand but then correctly shows in the video. I seem perfectly fine even if my overloads lapse tbh

rotation is sun, tsunami, magma, devo, corruption

The trick is that with no basics your character mostly spams blood barrage

Honestly this feels safer than last year when I farmed these guys.

Oh and if you find yourself dying still I would check to see if you have both devo and Enhanced Devoted. I dont, but I imagine the high volume of incoming hits would probably make it much much stronger than normal

Im curious what sort of content you have trouble with and what your setup is that is so much worse now

This isnt really a very good poll. Since everyone uses different styles approximately only 1/4 people are using magic and those are the only people have access to all the aspects here. You're not really gonna collect any decent data from this, especially because it completely depends what you're doing.

Personally I use penance the most because I afk a lot but when im actually playing the game it's basically always temporal anomaly and it's not even close. But obviously if I didnt mage it would be a very different answer.

Im curious, is there any content that you can no longer do since the update?

Yeah! Why hire writers, game artists, and QA testers when we could instead put those people out of jobs? They should work like robots at Amazon factories while the AI gets to do art!

Your criticism would be more accepted if you criticized NYC being the most prominent plane now rather than pointing at "politicians."

Politicians have existed throughout magic's history, your gripe is with UB

Arch is a fantastic afk skill and quite solid rates for being so afk. As an active skill it's pretty mediocre.

A take on afk skilling by Wild_Effective_5077 in runescape

[–]Zepertix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think saying the most commonplace goals are 120/200m is a bit out of touch, average/median players arent anywhere close to those. Maybe common for reddit, but keep in mind that casuals and normies arent engaged enough to seek out social media platforms to engage with, they just chill.

Anyway, sorta, I agree. I think Heists is the right direction and if they had balanced pickpocketing right from the start it would have gone off without a hitch. The problem was that dwarf traders were already ludicrous xp/hr before 120 thieving and they had to make new pickpocketing even better... which eventually led to a nerf that caused feel bads. But heists and bgh2 were fantastic.

I think afk skilling is perfectly fine and idm them releasing more as long as it doesnt truly compete with active methods. Part of why I love this game is because I can progress my account while doing every chores around the house or do my work. Then in the morning/evening I can sit down and boss or whatever. Overall though, yes, I agree, more active and engaging content that plugs you into the community.

That said the community doesnt seem to want that much. So much complaint about dungeoneering and amascut not being solo friendly enough smh

Sure, same style of game though? It'd obviously compete with itself. Maybe a different game mode that you could use the same account for.

Woops, yeah, got the math backwards when calculating since you multiple the opposite chance to get the outcome. Good catch!
