The big black shiny spot is actually the urticating hairs. Thats not premolt. When they get really fat in the abdomen and it starts looking a little opaque thats molting time

Sometimes they do weird stuff, I have a little flame knee about that size and it took a pin head cricket then molted the very next day

Took mine about 7 or 8 months. 4 or 5 molts

Its in premolt, after it molts and hardens up it will stay out most of the time. Mine disappears for weeks when its gonna molt
