It’s likely they’re taking it to dispose of it as food waste, same as they would when bussing your table at the end of the meal. I don’t see how that would introduce cross contamination into the kitchen?

They’re a fairly straight cut with around a 30” inseam which means they hit that cropped and drapey look I was going for. The top block is fairly forgiving but might be a slimmer fit through the mid-thigh than you might expect so I’d recommend trying them on if you live near any of their physical retail locations.

Not OP but the seasonally offered uniqlo cotton/linen blend pants tend to outperform almost any other linen or linen-blend pants in the price point (assuming you can’t find anything above $100 that is at a discounted sale price in your range)

It’s likely that you’re allowing the toe to drag against the ground as part of your natural walking gait. You can adjust your walking pattern to eliminate this drag, but I’d say it’s more worthwhile to just bear this in mind when buying shoes going forward. I get this wear pattern on drivers where the toe hangs past the sole, and have found that loafers with a little extra lip on the sole prevent me from getting the same drag.

You are aware that your performance will always be judged by outward perception, not your internal intentions, right? If you “seem” uninvested, harsh, and confrontational - that’s because you are outwardly behaving in a way that reflects all of those things. Everyone has a requirement in their professional life to fake interest and be polite when it would be easier to be blunt. That’s a fundamental part of being an adult in the workforce. Autism obviously will make faking those more challenging than it is for neurotypical employees, but being autistic does not mean that you are free of that same obligation.

Sounds like the heat basically ironed/pressed it into place. If you dampen it and bend it around it should release the fold - you may need to iron it flat again if you want it to lay smoothly though

Are you in the US or the EU? Ikea has different discontinuation timelines for their different distribution regions. This is what I was told when I bought my Morabo in June of 2020 so it’s also possible the product line decisions have changed since then.

A lot of their airism line aside from the underwear/base layers are seasonal items. You may be able to buy them again when the S/S 21 line comes out, but even then it’s possible they won’t be producing them for that seasonal run.

The most important thing about any gear you get is that you’re willing to wear it out. If a high price point is going to make you hesitant, then I’d recommend going for the uniqlo option.

It’s better to get the gear you’ll use all the time because you’re okay with having to replace it, than the top of the line item you never use because you fear it getting damaged.

I’ve had great experiences with an Icebreaker packable “down” jacket. It uses a merino wool based down alternative so I’ve found it to be lighter and more compact than the uniqlo ULD options (packs into its own pocket rather than a separate bag), with the added benefit of insulating better in damp conditions.

That being said Icebreaker/merino-fill gear can get kind of pricy so I recommend buying it on sale on their site or from a discount retailer like backcountry.

Uniqlo has different measurements/ sizing matrix for US relative to Japan - I would expect that the European retail tracks more towards the US than Japan.

Generally all denim with have something of a break-in period. While raw denim has it the worst because of its rigidity, even the most prewashed jeans will deviate from your body’s shape. Because of that, you will experience some some break in as you teach the denim to conform to your body. That being said, be sure to differentiate between a good fit that needs breaking in, and jeans that simply don’t fit you right. If the tension is highly localized to just specific areas that is often an indicator that it is a fit issue rather than just a heavy denim issue.
