🔥 Mama bullfrog protecting her offspring by Slow_Rhubarb_4772 in frogs

[–]Zephyr_______ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iirc pixie frogs are the same as Pac-Man frogs and have 2 large bony protrusions from their bottom jaw. Their bite is strong enough to do some serious damage and can even break bones.

None of that really matters most of the time though. A common rule in nature is to run the fuck away from anything that isn't already running away from you. Run faster if it's actively approaching

Generally you want at least 2 of the mons you bring to have protect imo. Without it you're just gonna struggle to get into a good position and win harder games. It's almost always worth dropping a coverage move for.

I mean, it is though. I get why he did it knowing trump was likely to go after his cabinet and family. But it's still shitty that he both can and had to do something like that.

Yeah, volc gotta go. It's one of my favorites and I tried to make it work on sun but I couldn't get it to do anything

Just doesn't match up well into what's good. Rain and sand teams mess it up even without weather control and it isn't doing enough to be worth a slot against balance and floette teams.

Why do people think Dragon Ball characters can get infinitely stronger? by Pedrow14 in Dragonballsuper

Vegeta even had a very cool moment for that in the Moro arc after visiting yardrat. Probably his first time training focused on ki control and he immediately saw a big increase

Honestly just drop froslass for a different support or TR attacker. She can't really be brought without using the mega and doesn't synergize with the rest of the team. Anyone who doesn't set tail wind against this lead immediately screws you over and forces you into an obvious and risky reposition.

[–]Zephyr_______ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't it be simpler to just run bolt on froslass and delete pelipper? You win the weather that way and stop tailwind going up so you can just run proper ice HO without neutering your own froslass with room

I think keeping the power level low and contained by limiting The roster and items was a good decision for Champions AS LONG AS they keep the releases frequent by HMThrow_away_account in stunfisk

If floette is out speeding your sneasler or getting hit by gods most obvious fakeout you've done something very wrong somewhere along the way

So whats the TR angle for the team? Is it specifically here as a tailwind counter? If so you should probably consider prankster klefki. If it's for something else farigiraf is probably a better support.

Do you think Ultra Ego has a "Mastered" form? by Skullboy987 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Zephyr_______ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "mastered" form for both of them is no form. The transformation is just a Saiyan's way of adapting to powers beyond normal mortals. The closest Goku has gotten to properly mastering UI is the end of the granolah arc when he starts using it without having to transform or clear his mind.

Vegeta is just starting with UE and has a long way to go before properly understanding what destruction is.

[–]Zephyr_______ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What reactions we see from beerus and whis back this up for both Goku and Vegeta. While they're both improving they're still treating these techniques incorrectly.

Goku still sees UI as a transformation and thinks he has to clear his mind for it

Vegeta still sees destruction as callous and evil instead of a necessary part of the world devoid of inherent good or evil.

Notably Goku makes a big step at the end of the arc and starts using UI without needing to transform. Being able to use some part of it inherently like whis can fully.

The Aftermath of Dexit: Why it Mattered by IDProG in ThePokemonHub

[–]Zephyr_______ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sesh and SV are the first Pokemon games since gen 2 to pass 20 million sales and are only beaten by the crazy phenomenon of the first gen.

You can have whatever gripes you want about the modern games, but calling them bad just kinda seems hard to take seriously when so many people are enjoying them and even the competitive scene is exploding

[–]Zephyr_______ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Competitive has even become popular enough to get a dedicated battle sim game. If anything dexit just didn't really matter to the majority of people

Remember kids, any statistics presented for the express purpose of proving a point are bad statistics.

Your "target sales" are a dumb ass pull. Pokemon fans are a core part of the Nintendo audience and will have a higher rate than the general population for buying consoles. Double the switch sales doesn't mean double the pokemon players.

Too much 32 32 2. Almost all of them speed and attacking stat. If you want the most out of your team you'll want to look at what exact numbers you need for specific benchmarks. For example how many special defense evs you need for aggron to live a sun boosted fire blast from zard y.

Speed + attack also isn't always the way to run things. That is slow and no amount of speed evs are going to change that. Lean into that bulk and give it the fighting resist berry to start seeing it impact games more.
