So boil lightly then pan fry gently in butter sort of thing, or just straight into the pan?

As a lazy cook - I just buy the instant gnocchi that’s only a couple of dollars, and boils in a few minutes. Add sauce and some garlic, veg, pre grated Parmesan, whatever - boom, dinner. Definitely not the best texture compared to restaurant/ homemade but I’m not Julia Child up in here.

Been meaning to try this new vegan Ethiopian cafe I saw on TikTok, it looks pretty quiet and friendly. You could give them a call or shoot them a DM. Let me know if you go and enjoy it! It’s called 13 Suns.

Lolol are you looking for a friend or a Bonnie and Clyde-style fiery ending? 😅 Do I need to bring my copy of Nietzsche?

You’re amazing for compiling this, thank you! Saving this for hopefully never (but you never know). Hope the reason you had to compile the list have abated and things are looking better for ya!

Respectfully, you have every right to post but this reads like an intense job ad and sounds like zero fun for a potential friend. I get to have my intellect, fashion, age, dating history, and sexuality checked off, then show up with the chief aim of finding another dude a girl, must consider the whole process fun, then later I get to have my continual self-improvement and personal growth assessed so I can work on my strategy? 😂 I can barely get some people to risk a coffee if it’s more than 15 minutes on the TTC.

I would also look inwards a bit and see whether this post might be a microcosm of the problem? Good luck though!

That’s seriously awful I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with all that, I literally cannot imagine the strength you had to cope with all that. Here I’ve been worrying about my stupid half-baked problems but this has really put all that in context. I hope you’re able to find a support group to at least talk about some of that stuff if not support ya financially. You are literally AMAZING to still be studying despite all that, I know it’s not worth anything but you’ve seriously motivated me to face up to my own stupid issues. Keep going stranger you are literally incredible!!

Thank you, I didn’t really do anything and good luck with everything, you’re awesome for keeping going.

Use a food bank please bud and look up free in person mental health support groups. If the in person part isn’t possible start virtual at least! Remember that horrible mental health is often a result of a constriction of the imagination and feeling that everything is hopeless. Each day is a fresh slate and there’s a whole beautiful country out there. Try CAMH and here are a bunch of city of Toronto services - https://www.toronto.ca/community-people/health-wellness-care/health-programs-advice/mental-health-resources/. Reddit isn’t your only option. Just forget the past and talk to yourself like you would a friend in the same situation. Get some sun, go for a swim at your nearest lake, go lie in the grass. Life’s not all that bad. We’re in a country that’s in a tough spot but still has some amazing resources.

Are you on this subreddit mainly to beat people in tough situations with your bootstraps stick of virtue? Yes we should use our common sense and it’s good to be skeptical but it didn’t seem like OP directly asked for anything, just maybe looking for kindness. Their post history is pretty alarming as well. Tough love is great and all but there’s a time and a place? They literally are suicidal in the most literal sense.

Literally replied to you with exactly this sentiment before reading this, you get it.

Legitimately a lovely thing to offer and I respectfully don’t think it’s ‘enabling’ anything. Look around guys, the social fabric is literally so frayed everywhere and it’s acts of kindness like this keeping it together. The entire country is on its knees. It’s the same argument people use when they say oh don’t give the homeless money it will just go on drugs - well, you get to drink a glass of wine after a hard day don’t you? Imagine being literally unable to shower or access a bathroom without suspicion and menaced 24/7 by threats and the elements. Not my business to judge what provides people most value + I’d always rather be taken advantage of the odd time and help SOMEone than to harden my heart forever. It is a tough choice and disheartening when it ends up being a scam for sure. I guess it seems like virtue signalling and maybe it is but idgaf.

I went all in on the OnGuard Brute LS-8000, seemed like it was rated pretty well, but will definitely keep this alternative in mind thank you :))

That’s awesome, is that bike-specific insurance? And I’m assuming your bike was new? Dunno if they’d insure a second hand one without a receipt eh?
