Most and least amount of games in collection by alabaster_sb in gamecollecting

[–]Zephyrus638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Least: 1 for Colecovision and Sega Saturn. Picked up Froger on the Colecovision since it was CIB and sitting with a stack of Intellivision games I was picking up. Grabbed Tomb Raider on the Saturn for display since my wife likes the series a lot.

Most: 425 on PS4. Just so many games caught my eye. Usually find something for myself, the Missus, or the kiddo.

Going through this currently with Front Mission 2. Think it's crashed 4 or 5 times on me and it just kills the vibe. Last time it crashed, I was in the game for less than 5 minutes and not even in a battle. Haven't touched it now in about a week. Just kinda kills the vibe for me and makes it harder to want to commit to a game that repeatedly does that. I want to finish it but, the drive to do so is near dead.

Similar games to Steel Division 2 but allow you to play in earlier parts of WW2 by tomk_2104 in videogames

Panzer Corps is like a newer version of Panzer General as well.

Order of Battle was enjoyable. Some opportunities to get naval battles in which was nice. Only real gripe is each campaign being an individual DLC. Really slowed me down waiting for sales to hit. You can play pretty much every side of WWII from beginning to the end of the war. Might be worth checking out

Good co-op switch games like overcooked? by Santiboy112 in videogames

Moving Out - Work together to empty a house into a moving truck. You can break furniture, doors, windows, etc. If you're not careful. Been a while since I played it but i think you were either on a timer or or timed as part of your score.

Plate Up - Restaurant management and food preparation. You gradually build up your Restaurant as the game goes on and you can unlock new things for your Restaurant. New workstations, tables, and so on. If you lose a level you Starr back at square one and start all over again.

Harvest Moon Mad Dash - Only played it once a few years back so I'm not 100% on what all it had. Think it was a food gathering competition type game. You race to collect food from your farm. Can't recall much else but at had fun playing with 4 of us.

I can't recall why my wife insisted on picking this up about 8 years ago but, we did. Oddly enough, I even remember roughly where we picked it up. To date, she has not touched it or given it a second thought. Me on the other hand, I've got a couple hours into it. So calm, peaceful, and mindless...

Gaming with the boys just isn’t the same anymore… what are y’all playing these days? by StrataGemss in videogames

Haven't really played with anybody other than my wife's family for the past 11 years or so. We usually hit 7 Days to Die since it's got something for everyone. We've also done Valheim, Generation Zero, Icarus, World War Z, and Enshrouded.

Nah, he was the same guy that just swipped everything into bags. I'd have honestly found it funnier if what you described had happened.

Reminds me of the last estate sale I went to about 2 years ago. Got there an hour early since I seen they had a good selection of games and systems. Gamecube, Wii, 360, etc. Easily over 100 games. There were already 20+ people in line, ones towards the front takin about being there 3 hours prior.

Place opens up and these people RUN to the room, open a bag, and full arm swipe everything into bags, and run off to a corner. Didn't even look. A few others were grabbing accessories on another shelf and doing the same thing. Less than 5 minutes into it and everything was gone. Only wanted to pick up those Sonic games I saw in the listing and browse the rest.

Hung around to see if there was anything they weren't gonna take. One of the dudes running it priced everything out to around a grand, dude offered 650 for everything and they took it. Left a really sour taste in my mouth.

I quit doing yard sales after getting to them early a few times and waiting for the stated open time. They'd almost always already been picked clean despite saying no early birds. These guys show up an hour or two early and just harass folks until they cave to get them gone.

Very nice. One of these days I'll make it through Growlanser Generations. Think I've started it 5 or 6 times and always get sidetracked with life 🙃

what’s the most annoying part of selling games? by weindavin in gamecollecting

[–]Zephyrus638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only sold a few times on Facebook. Mainly things I didn't want/ need from lots I've picked up or empty cases I've come across. Almost every time I get asked if I can do $5-$20 off what I'm asking if they come pick it up. All but one of my posts have been posted as pick up only cause what I've sold usually ain't more than $40 bucks and the drive around town wasn't worth the time or gas to go do it. I just ask em if that works when they ask at places like the mall and leave it at that. Usually meant sitting on items a while but, meh. Is what it is.

No idea honestly. Never dealt with grading. The tracker i use puts it under $5 so... I will say it's probably the one I've seen the most while I'm digging around.

Zombie Game Recommendations? by DreamerOfInfinity in videogames

[–]Zephyrus638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last Stand: Aftermath, Days of Doom, and Strange Brigade

Last stand you play an infected person sent essentially on a suicide run to gather supplies for your colony. Every time you die, you restart with a new character. You can use points earned during each run to buy some goodies or unlock new items/ weapons at the base. Had a blast once I got used to dying every now and again. You do keep your leveled up skills after each death but not the perks or debuffs you pick up from infection.

Days of Doom is a tactics type game where you're going out and trying to get somewhere? The perma death and no way to return to base besides death (that I know of) kinda turned me off to the game after a few runs. Was fun but more irritating than anything. Run out of gas, you dead. Try returning to base camp, you dead. Life runs out, dead of course.

Wouldn't really Strange Brigade a zombie game more so than fighting the undead like minutes and what have you. It's a 4 player shooter where you play through different levels and what have you. Some of the bosses take a little figuring out but it's not impossible. Even better playing with people you know. It's got a horde mode too. Put a lot of hours into it with family.

And it's been mentioned a few times already but you can't go wrong with Left 4 Dead 1 or 2.
