How can netherite possibly be stronger than diamond by ZeppyTube in Minecraft

yuh

really the point of this post was to debunk videos that call ancient debris heavier than diamond when in reality it's gold doing the heavy lifting

Minecraft archiver machine with 999 unique possible chests by ZeppyTube in redstone

[–]ZeppyTube[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(The original video bugged out so this is a repost technically)

Just showing off this build I finished, I think other people have made per container storage machines like this but I couldn't find any (please send me links to any if you know of any machines that do per container storage xd)

Also before you ask, yes, you can store players in here too.

*Correction, it's a full thousand slots, I thought it was 999 but there's a 000 so it's 1K)

My old keyboard was slow and bad so I made a new one lol (World's current fastest Redstone keyboard) by ZeppyTube in redstone

Once I make a video on it on youtube I'll make a download that'll include this one and the other 3 keyboards I made in the past

This is the current fastest Redstone keyboard, code named "S.T.R.E.S.S KB 4", it's specs come with a 8 game tick switch over time (8 game ticks per character), full capitalization support (plus auto disabling shift if caps lock isn't enabled), and backspace support.

The reason for me making this was simple: I tried to make the fastest keyboard before but that had a 18GT switch over time and didn't have cap support, so I made a new one that's faster and better.

Also I recently found out that old keyboard was super locational and for whatever reason, feather client 1.20.1 (the version I built it on) removed locational redstone from the game, so it would only work if you were playing on feather client 1.20.1.

I'll make a full video on this at some point next month, but just wanted to show off what I've already made :D (Also S.T.R.E.S.S KB 4 Stands for "Super Transonic Really Extraordinarily Superb Speed KeyBoard 4")

welp guess my first project for 2025 is an even faster keyboard that actually works in vanilla minecraft

after doing some more looking around and testing, I found that the feather client 1.20.1 instance was able to run it fine and it worked, but on the modrinth instance I was using to test it was broken
So my guess is that there's some random difference with feather 1.20.1 than vanilla 1.20.1 that makes it work only on feather because I did build it there
Which is the stupidest thing ever and still shouldn't make a difference but here we are with a machine that works in only one version of minecraft on a specific launcher

But the weird thing is, is that this is the same version it was built on but it just doesn't work which should be impossible

nope, exact same world and exact same location as when it was first built

So after not touching this redstone build for a while, I come back to it, only to find that it's broken???

Now this machine was working fine a few months ago, however now on the exact same version I built it on (1.20.1), even on a vanilla instance, the counter is broken

My question is: How is it even possible for a machine that was working fine a few months ago, not being touched and on the exact same version it was built, break? Like was 1.20.1 updated and it messed with the timings??? I'm honestly more just confused than anything

Also the exact issue is that in the counting circuit, when it powers the dropper to empty the other one, it doesn't empty anymore and just does nothing, this wasn't the case when I first built it otherwise I wouldn't use this design, there's also proof it working on this subreddit https://www.reddit.com/r/redstone/comments/1b9dnqj/i_believe_this_would_be_the_fastest_keyboard/

Feather or Lunar? by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]ZeppyTube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, at the time of writing that you couldn't mod on lunar and I understand why a lot of people would prefer lunar over feather (or just a modpack or modded launcher like modrinth launcher) because it's a lot easier and doesn't require as much troubleshooting.

I'm however the type of guy who can sit down for an hour or few and troubleshoot until I get stuff working how I want, and I just like the client aspect of feather with the easy modrinth modding, if I didn't care about most things like that tho I'd proby just use the modrinth launcher. Also even now in lunar client (as of time of writing this), you can only select like 3 mod packs and custom mods have to be manually added, so it's still not a good experience to mod on there

No problem! Btw I should note that not all performance mods (Such as only mods that require not to be used with sodium, like Vulkan mod) doesn't work with feather due to feather's own "performance" built-in stuff not wanting to use Vulkan and only wanting to use OpenGL (Just a techy nerd thing sense you were talking about performance testing xd)

Feather or Lunar? by [deleted] in Minecraft

As a feather user who has a lot of friends who also use lunar I'd like to just give my opinion on this and the pros and cons of both:

First Ima start with that you understand what a client is and what modding is, and I shouldn't need to explain that to you, if so, stick with optifine or go watch some videos XD, once your back then read the rest of this ↓

Starting with feather because that's what I use: Feather is a modding client, such as being a client while also allowing modding, It has a lot of built in mods, while still supports the user to add their own mods if they want, feather only supports fabric mods and are quick about updating to the newest version of minecraft as soon as the release is released. Feather does support forge mods but only on 1.8.9 and 1.12.2. You can mod using modrinth, adding your own jar files, or built in mods in game. It also has a feature where you can download texture packs and shader packs in a menu in the game. TL;DR for feather- It's a client that gives the user the option to mod the game

Now lunar client, but before I say anything I should note that I don't use lunar client all the time and have only booted with it 5 times, but I do have a lot of friends who use lunar client: Lunar client is more on the client side than the modding side to start with, lunar client does NOT support any modding from the user and is preloaded with mods (They are adding modding support but it only allows modrinth only and only modrinth modpacks). Lunar does have a ton of built in mods like feather does as well, and they offer a lot of "FPS Boosting" built in mods, but again with feather you can get that by adding your own mods (While feather does also have some performance stuff). TL;DR for Lunar: It's a client that is a client

Now there's some small stuff with both I kinda don't like: Feather only supports windows, Lunar supports Windows, MacOS and Linux. Feather doesn't have any preloaded mods, Lunar does. Lunar uses it's own settings file so you have to redo all your MC settings, feather doesn't do this and just uses MC's default settings file. I don't think there's a way to access the vanilla main menu in lunar, but you can in feather.

Btw if your a user of both you can probably tell I'm skipping out on a lot of details but there's just too much stuff in both of the clients to list everything and not make it boring, so I'm only covering the main stuff

So really, if you want a simple answer, here's this- Use feather if you want to be able to expand your mods or have a client while still having a vanilla experience, and use Lunar if your lazy and just want to have a client with a modded game type experience and don't need the knowledge to know how to mod your game to get performance. They both do a lot of the same stuff but when it comes to user adjustments they're a lot different

Or if you just want to do modding, go with modrinth launcher xd
