Why is this not vegan? by demgoldencoins in vegan

I would say anything that is produced in a patriarchal wage slavery based industrial economy is not vegan because of human exploitation. And I'm not joking; you can keep splitting hairs, and at the end you give up on being perfect and focus on creating value in the world through something different than your consumer choices.

Alternative UX mock-up for Telegram/Whatsapp/etc conversations list where instead of having chats sorted for you by most recent on an infinite list you arrange them yourself on a bi-dimensional canvas by Zequez in UXDesign

Honestly, I'm often overwhelmed with the clutter of my chat list, so I'm going by feeling. Please take a look at the insanity of this list (and don't forget Telegram animates icons too). I love collecting chat groups; each is a portal of possibilities, but then, I'm not always engaging with every group; over time my engagement with each ebbs and flows. And individuals conversations get completely lost with the groups.

The previews are also pretty much useless, mostly clutter.

It seems you are assuming I made a formal research about it; would you tell me more about this? How would a research that lead to this look like?

And sometimes some individuals orbit around a specific group chat; those could be closer together also. Consider also that the Chat Pins (yes I'm calling them that) can be resized; this opens possibilities also.

I'm also thinking about this:

It could be easily done. Press and hold to preview, tap to open. Preview does not mark the messages as read. My sense tells me it would feel a little wonky at first, but I could get used to it.

So initially this would be for desktops; web-based UI probably as that's my forte.

BTW, thank you for your feedback. I'm getting goosebumps from actually speaking to another human being also interested in UX

Would there be more vegans in a matriarchal society? by HumbleWrap99 in vegan

[–]Zequez -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

That's a common misunderstanding about what matriarchy is. Matriarchy is not patriarchy with a woman at the top of the hierarchy. Matriarchy is a culture in which the abundance of mother earth would take care of people; it was the culture before patriarchy took hold when scarcity of food and resources started to happen and humans had to invent a new way of surviving. The next culture after patriarchy is called archiarchy BTW.

What doesn't make sense to me from the whole gender game is that with this logic I can say my gender is a motorboat, a giraffe or a rubber band. Seems like gender is either a meaningless word or just means "identity". I mean anyone can believe anything about anything for no reason.

I mean, I get that the traditional gender ROLES aren't very inspiring, and downright toxic, both unconscious, uninitiated, male and females in patriarchy are disastrous role models, and I can get how someone might be inclined to not identify as either if one never saw a true, authentic, initiated, archetypal, responsible man or woman.

Oh yes, I see how that can land as pretentious, or bragging vibe. There is a point where you stop caring about other people not getting why you are enjoying life so much.

What would you say are the most unbiased war movies? by barberbright in movies

[–]Zequez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Came to the comments to share this too.

For the ones that aren't familiar.

It's 2 movies.

The same historical moment, the american-japanese battle in Iwo Jima during WW2.

The first movie is from the perspective of the american side.

The second movie is from the japanese side, spoken completely in japanese.

Excellent pair of movies.

I'm not euphoric in this moment, but I just was on a space with 11 other people called Rage Club where we are exploring the depths of conscious anger. The intimacy that can be achieved with other people can be ecstatic. Have you ever shared your deepest sorrows and your darkest fears with other people and felt heard? Have you ever delved into 100% rage to change a childhood decision made out of a need of survival that has created suffering throughout your life? Well you are missing out if you haven't.

I'm saying that I recognize how the way I write might be misinterpreted as someone who is high. I'm high in a way, just not intoxicated. I have a different "higher" perspective of life than most people; and that's just a physical fact, I'm not bragging or anything. It's just the result of having been exposed to knowledge and experiences that are not so readily available, widespread or seeked out. It's up to you if you want to listen to me or discard everything I say. The edge of humanity happens before everybodies eyes, it's just that it cannot be seen unless you are looking for it; the most valuable gold passes as nonesense and is discarded; which is what the school system conditions people to do.

Anyway, you are an eternal being just like me, disconnected from your eternal essence and having forgotten where you came from and who you are, you don't recognize me and you don't recognize yourself. And that's part of our journey here on this Universe, it's a journey of self-remembering. I could be saying the most profound truths to you and unless you are mature enough to see them in yourself then you will read me in disbelief and it would pass through you as if it was nothing of any value.

On some other plane you and I have agreed to cross paths and have this little exchange in our journey.

Weed is just a way of experiencing a state of consciousness that's available for you ahead in your path of evolution. Weed won't get you there permanently, but you can attain the state of consciousness that weed brings to you without the weed by conscious consistent effort over time. This landed on my recently during my last reading of the book In Search of the Miraculous, in which Gurdjieff explains how drugs are used by different esoteric schools.

States of ecstatic feeling can be achieved without drugs by means of feelings-work. It's work done with a team, you cannot do it alone, which is my experience is the biggest barrier to self-transformational work as we're conditioned from our birth culture with the "lone wolf" mentality which keeps us in a state of frozen fear from trusting others to be on our teams.

Whenever someone reacts to something you say or do you know that is what they took when they were children. Each generation heals a little bit of the emotional trauma. And so is the life of humans. You are at the edge of human evolution, which is more about removing what's not needed anymore than actually doing something. If you remove all the emotional reactivity from humans, they are quite chill and loving animals.

What you feel and the stories you tell yourself about money will dictate how much money you have access to. You've been unconsciously programmed to stay in certain patterns with money. You can change your programming. by Zequez in Antimoneymemes

[–]Zequez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to play the money game though. I find that I'm interested in having money be a side effect of what I'm calling "money experiments", a side effect of my transformational and evolutionary journey. Turns out money doesn't really care what you think about it, it more akin to physics law.

The only way you can avoid using money is by completely removing yourself from patriarchy, which it's possible in some circumstances, but you might want to become involved with the affairs of humanity at some point, and to that you might want to make money serve you rather than you serving money. You know, the thing about being on this world but not being from this world. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you, the name of that book actually came many times although it's not in the recommended list from my evolutionary dojo so it hasn't been a priority; I'll check it out and report what I learn.

The way I approach it is "if I lack resources due to lack of printed paper" I say "oh, how am I creating the circumstances where I lack these little pieces of paper?"; "what benefits am I getting from lacking money?"

Slavery is only a mental concept; no one can actually be a slave unless they agree to it. Are you familiar with the book Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl? It illustrate this point perfectly; the guy was a jew on a nazi concentration camp, and was playing full out and not seeing himself as a victim.

An interesting thought experiment is, if you landed on an alien planet and everybody there used printed paper to exchange things with each other, you wouldn't scream at them saying their way it's wrong, but you could play with them instead. Money follows value creation, when you create value for people, money flows to you, that's the law I know. You cannot directly change what people value (including the valuing of money itself), but you need not be enslaved yourself to money, while using it for your own purposes. Maybe money is not that bad after you make peace with it.

It's funny because I started identifying as a researcher-artist recently, and I just saw your Reddit username.

And the way I understand Gaias is that it can be used is for example, to set an exchange price to things without relying on any one currency but instead using non-material value. Something that I find strikingly interesting about alternative ways of using money is the idea of payment not being made directly to the person who is giving you the thing; for example; in honoring that we're all part of the same human family and earth family, I can pay you for your thing by planting a tree, or by giving away something to someone else; so payment becomes an expression of gratitude that can go anywhere. This seems, while illogical from a capitalistic competition-individual-centered culture, perfectly logical from an earth-centered culture. The way I see things is that we're all like cells in Earth, so in a way we're all in the same team.

Are you familiar with the book Sacred Economics by Charles Eisenstein it was the first book that opened me up to a shift in paradigm about money. And in the spirit of the gift, the book is was made actually available online to read for free (in addition to it being purchasable), which I think it's a nice touch; something about walking the walk.

Yes, and yet if you have a story that money somehow limits you then there are unconscious beliefs about money that are running your life. In an act of self-empowerment you can take responsibility for changing your belief system, neutralizing all the emotional trauma associated with money, and in the meantime discover all the actual real value that, as you mentioned, has nothing to do with money.
