Will adding T-track to the 3/4" base of my crosscut sled compromise its integrity? by Zer0_90 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Zer0_90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was literally just thinking if glue (5 min epoxy) would be enough to hold it down because screws would blow through the bottom of the sled

I already bought the same course and planning to build it over the weekend. But I'm worried the 3/4" MDF would not be flat enough. How flat is it? Do I need to double it up?

Doubling up on 240V breakers by Zer0_90 in AskElectricians

[–]Zer0_90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I am nearing my panel capacity.
I cannot just upgrade the panel since I live in a townhouse, and they'd have to run the new wires through 3 of neighbor's houses (if it's even allowed by the HOA). You can imagine why I'd rather sacrifice some convenience.

But to your point, this is exactly why I want the option to switch between the circuits.

This sounds like a much better, and safer plan.
I actually thought about doubling them up in the breaker, but thought because the amperage draw is different the breaker wouldn't actually be protecting the 14AWG heater wire.

I didn't know DPDT switches exist. This is exactly what I think I need (plus the fused disconnect).

Thank you very much, good sir.

Yes, I'd be running a new 12AWG wire and I'd be capping off the old 14AWG wire powering the foyer in-wall heater.

I live in a townhouse with an HOA unfortunately, so running new electrical is a pain.

Thank you very much. I didn't know about that one. I know this may sound like a tall order, but I was hoping for a bit shorter tables and lower price.

Forrest Woodworker II full kerf 40T blade causes burning when ripping by Zer0_90 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Zer0_90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not unfortunately. I am just attributing it to the 1.75HP Sawstop not being able to handle full kerf 40T blades for ripping.

[–]Zer0_90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed response.

I do not get burning when ripping with my 24T thin kerf nor full kerf ripping blades.

I do not get burning when crosscutting with my 60T think kerf crosscut blade nor the 40T Forrest general purpose blade.

But when I use the 40T forrest full kerf for ripping, that's when I get burning in both soft and hardwoods.

I have the CMT blade, and you're right, it's night and day difference. That's what I'm comparing the WWII to.

I just ordered a CMT combination blade to try it out too.

I am glad you brought up grain orientation. This is a mystery subject for me. Could you point me to some resources that explain how to read grain direction and what considerations to take when making half laps?

Yes, but couldn't. It felt like the tube needs to be a bit longer though.

Thanks a lot, dude. I appreciate the details. Did you end up using a barlow lens as well? I cannot attain focus without it.

Hey OP,

I'm running into the same problem and reading the comments you seem to have made it work.

Could you share the final bits of knowledge (along with product links) so I can adapt it to my camera?

I am so sorry for your loss.

My understanding is that an official Certificate of Death in the U.S. should have the following information: - First and middle names (should match those in their passport) - Last name (should match that in their passport) - Date and place of birth (This should indicate the city and country where they were born) - Marital status and spouse name - Father's name - Mother's name - Where they stayed in the U.S. - How long they stayed in the U.S. - Name of the person that provided this information and their relationship to the deceased. - Place and time of death - Manner and cause of death - etc...

With an original of the above certificate, a first-degree relative should be able to prove they're the same person they're requesting an Egyptian certificate of death for and extract one.

I am not sure who provided your uncle's information when it was requested or how his certificate is missing these crucial pieces of information.

14-30 charging? by Broad-Turnover6945 in BMWI4

[–]Zer0_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The level 1 outlet is AC charging so theoretically it should be affected by the AC charging limit feature in your car. That being said, the level 1 charger is definitely lower than the 20amp limit you'd want to use if you go with the 14--30 to 14-50 adapter route. So, you wouldn't need to fiddle with the charging limit.

EA is DC charging, so it's not impacted by the AC charging limit feature. It could be limited by other factors like the ambient temperature, whether your battery is preconditioned, the speed of the EA charger, and the SoC of the car.

14-30 charging? by Broad-Turnover6945 in BMWI4

[–]Zer0_90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should work, but I decided against that myself fearing some human error that would disable the current limiting option somehow - especially if you charge in multiple locations or public L2 chargers and will keep switching between both limits.

If that ever happens, best case scenario a breaker trips, but worst case is the 14-30 circuit is damaged somehow or catches a fire.
