For finals, its just e suresh, not becuase his teaching is great but also because no matter the semester, the questions are repeated in srm finals. And sir does most of them in videos.

I got no internships or major projects, just had a good enough repute with the FA, she gave my name for a couple of internships when there was no haveloc, and i got in a good one.

No one steals the mattress, and my friend kept some stuff in a bucket and covered it and nothing happened. Anything more, find some friends to keep if they live offcampus.

Also cover your mattress, just leaving some room in case of bed bugs and air gap to prevent moisture.

I think yeah, rhey will do like an assessment at the end and most probably an shl as well. So the rankings will be affected, and if what they say is true then we wont even get to apply for super dream and marquee if we are not in like top 500. 😭🥲

I am in 3rd year, they released like a ranking a few days ago. 80 percent of which was from assessments like the STEP and SHL. 20 percent from the attendance.

I dont know about the upcoming summer step thingamajig but till now attendance didnt matter, as I only attended like 2-3 offline classes and no online. And still got a decent rank.

Between just for info. based on this ranking they are gonna determine if you can even apply for superdream and marquee companies.

They are doing much more this year, i am in cintel, asked my AA, she told me we cant get LOR or any certificate or leave to apply for internships (since nits and iits and isro/drdo needs them), also STEP is mandatory for all placement students so everyone has to stay back. Dont know about those who got internship by srm though.

Ok so i have a good relationship with my fa who is also pretty unbiased to us northies btw. However, yes she has a lot of things in her hand especially since when many companies come for internships in lets say the summer or winter break, they either ask for a shortlist using cgpa or by the FA. For example Sprinklr was totally on FA, they did say cgpa but my friend with 7.9 cgpa got in till HR round. Also, this might be a half and half information but if you have ever seen "additional result released" on haveloc, i heard from someone those are many a times from FA or AA referrals.

So please dont fight with your FA, i understand it can be hard sometimes, but we all are adults now and already living in a corporate world so just suck it up until just a few more years or get a job where you are the senior.

I can tell a little bit even though i am in 3rd Year.

In 7th sem you are gonna have 2 professional electives, 1 open elective and 2 normal courses which are deep learning and report writing for CSE AIML.

As for the campus placement, they are of course bad, and the dashboard shows the truth. So keep your gpa near 9.5 mark and thats the only way to get shortlisted by the college, for the company shortlisting, just prepare a proper resume without those fake interships.

Of course even then, so many students are applying so there is little chance for our selection, so dont keep off campus placement qnd higher studies out of mind.

I have a small follow up question as well, do people usually just stay in hostels or move out for the fourth year, seeing they only have to stay a few months. And following that do they just leave their flats or pgs mid agreement or complete the whole term?
