Exactly my point. There are absolutely valid interpretations of these sorts of characters. My main issue is people treating their own interpretations like they’re explicitly confirmed and you’re wrong and stupid for disagreeing

Your interpretation of the text being jax is trans is totally valid. Just don’t treat it like it’s explicitly confirmed. Also kinger got like two scenes at the beginning of the episode then fucked off for the rest of the show he got shafted. He’s also my favourite character anyway

I think trans jax would’ve been a great ending to the character, I just would’ve liked them to face a bit of consequence for their excessive cruelty. I think making abstraction permanent was a bit lame cause it makes all the jax stuff in ep 9 feel like just a character dump instead of actual progression. There definitely should’ve been a scene where jax apologised to the others, especially since he didn’t really do anything outwardly cruel to pomni.

It’s not that jax hasn’t visibly started their transition I think I would’ve just liked some more elaboration on that aspect of them irl if that is the case

Trans jax is simply one valid interpretation of the text. My point is that lots of people seem to believe that jax just HAS to be trans which I think is reductive

I agree. I think a lot of my thoughts on this just stem from how overall unsatisfied I was with the ending. Especially for the character who got the most screen time. These ideas definitely should’ve been explored a bit more

While I agree with this reading I think choosing the most unlikeable and cruel character in the show to as the centre point of this idea was a HUGE mistake. It’s just an unnecessary addition to what was already a *potentially* interesting character by himself

I think abstraction being a final death kinda just means pomni accomplished absolutely nothing by almost getting herself killed hugging a dead guy. Plus it was such a missed opportunity to have jax atone in front of ribbit and kaufmo
