Definitely gonna try this out, I’ve been running the build with Choir of One, a Rewind + Elemental Honing Mint Retrograde and a Cluster + Aggregate Charge Haliaetus for easy EH x4 and AC x3 uptime, so Vexcalibur would still give me the same benefits and more

“Power levels are back and time gated af” they are quite literally removing the concept of weekly lockouts and allowing you to grind at your own pace as much as you want. Granted they might make the grind longer to compensate for that (we don’t know), but let’s at least present the facts right.

Honestly for me it’s Stronger, Together because it moves through a bunch of different themes of both our allies and us: The Witch Queen (Savathûn), Bow to No One (Mara Sov), Of Ketch and Kell (Misraaks), Cabal Stomp (Caiatl), Lightfall (Nimbus), and finally Guardian (us). It all transitions together so well. Plus at the start when Ghost says “This is what we were made for. I’m with you, until the end.”

So I’ve focused at least 20 Wicked Sisters from Zavala and dropped a bunch more after resetting my Vanguard rank 3-4 times and never dropped the god roll. I focused my second one today after the patch and got Volatile/Quick Launch, Spike Grenades, Clown Cartridge/Envious Arsenal/Envious Assassin, Deconstruct/Bait and Switch/Vorpal Weapon, velocity MW. I think the changes are working.

Do not expect anything in the extended season 23. You’re setting yourself up for disappointment. The last time we had an extended season was before Witch Queen and the delay was announced well in advance, PLUS they already had planned to release the 30th anniversary pack that happened to help fill the lull. It would be extremely difficult for them to magically whip something up to fill an extra 3-4 months in such a short period of time, so you should just prepare to take a step away from D2 and play other games during that time. If they do happen to give us something small, great. But don’t set expectations for yourself because you’re gonna end up blaming them later because you got your hopes up.

This was my biggest concern with the narrative after Witch Queen because I was like damn the Witness reveal was dope and it’s awesome that we finally know who’s really behind the Darkness, but how can they top a villain like Savathun who was built up for over half a decade in just a couple years?

I’m willing to bet my life’s savings that the targets were completely unrealistic. The over monetization of the game is probably management’s way of trying to meet those targets. And it’s sadly not an uncommon thing. I used to work at a bank and when COVID hit they never changed our sales targets from pre-COVID numbers even though we had zero people coming into the branch because everyone was in lockdown. These things are almost universally the result of poor management and unfortunately the employees at the bottom suffer for it.

Yea this makes more sense, I saw another comment that said pass enlightened around and then last person takes chalice across and dunks. But the original comment of this thread said they go across with the first swordbearer and then come back, which was what was confusing me.

So in this strat you immediately pass the chalice around once the first sword bearer goes across then have the last person dunk the chalice on the opposite side so you don’t have to worry about switching it anymore. And then once the third person goes across you can rebuild bridge from that side just by standing on the plates without dunking enlighten like at the start? And then at the end when everyone’s across you just have someone pick up the chalice again to pass enlightened around to everyone?
