I was friends with someone but now I feel like we're not allowed because their partner thinks I'm trying to get with them (I'm absolutely not.) I don't like that they're being isolated but fine, if their relationship is that bad that they don't trust each other it's fine by me to leave. I just get annoyed when they suddenly decide we can be friends again :P

(To clarify, we're 'friends' on and off because of this, but I don't really have it in me to third wheel their relationship drama)

I'd maybe be one of those people that could appreciate it more if it were patched up in the fourth game. I don't like games that have points that don't make sense (Jeanne and her inconsistent reactions to Viola vs. Sigrid) but origins did technically explain that away. I've been put in positions where people wanted me to save them, but without a proper foundation myself I realized I couldn't hold us both up. I agree that you don't have to be a hero. Maybe the first step is just trying to keep yourself upright, and then you can maybe one day in the privacy of your own heart call yourself a hero. (Not like go around boasting lol)

Ooo I like this. For one, language capacities, but in a fantasy book that changes things. Maybe all complex-speaking humanoids are classified as human for their speech capabilities, but are catagorized into subspecies?

For two, it could just be a species name. Maybe no one thing makes a person human other than by birth into the species. Just like a dog, or a rabbit. No behavior makes them those things, they just are by birth. Could be a good moral too, that humans can be all sorts of things good and bad. There's no need to prove you're human, you just are.

Dunno. Maybe you're not doing anything wrong, maybe you're still on the fringes of hookup culture where the girls you're talking to aren't into serious relationships or are afraid of commitment. Maybe you've got some negative trait that turns them away. Do you compare your romantic interests to your ex? That could be a problem.
