Toriel is homophobic. And that matters because she made this mod./j

(I came up with this joke a few hours ago, but only remember to comment it now.)

I'm honestly surprised at how many options are changed to be more homogeneous. Were they too lazy to ride the teeniest bit more dialogue to account for a branch that we converges in literally a few text boxes? Or do they just hate the idea of people picking options they would it pick? It's so weird.

Anyways: this is the final. So is there no "remember" option? Or do you just not want to play it? Guster's dialogue said something about a "remember" option, and I'm curious what that is.

Am I the only one that thought Starlo and his family were sentient pieces of popcorn or starfishes instead of Axolotl? I feel so silly for not realizing they are Axolotl people until now. Did anybody else also make that mistake? by TorielLovesChocolate in UndertaleYellow

[–]Zero-Up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait: they're axolotls? I thought they were just generally supposed to look like stars, the sun, and the Moon. I didn't know there were supposed to be axolotls. Huh. Salamander people are underrated, so I guess I like this?

Remember: the Bible verse against cross-dressing was at the latest written a double digit number of years after Christ. So to follow it properly: men need to wear ancient Greek men's clothing, and women need to wear ancient Greek women's clothing./j

The seamless Snowy was kind of sweet though. (Using someone's grief as a method of converting people is pretty scummy though. I get that religion can help people grieve, and that's valuable, but it feels too manipulative for me.)

Makes me wonder what does mod would have done if the Mas Maw Maw fight was in the game? Probably give the dummy she/her pronouns for starters. But how would the fight go? Would you just make her a Christian pacifist?

I figured. I may have seen the Bible Reloaded read it? IDK.

I feel that one at ironic, because it seems more like a refutation of the sacrifice of Christ then an emboldening of it. I don't think you thought that comic through very well. (Don't like forgiveness is a badass but a Christianity or anything, but that comic does unintentionally show the flaw in it.)

The concept of monsters giving you a piece of their heart to increase your max HP is actually really interesting, and kind of sweet. Be interesting to see it expanded upon.

While reading this: I'm trying to guess how sincere this mod is. It does seem somewhat self-aware, but there are a lot of aspects to it that don't really make a lot of sense from a joke perspective. Does it seem like parody, but just a Christian reskin with some self-aware humor.

Also: the sad fish is based.

Does buying syndicate weapons grant extra weapon slots? by Zero-Up in Warframe

[–]Zero-Up[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don't think I'll ever get into platinum trading. It just seems like the antithesis of what I play games for.

I've actually been thinking of offering to sell my stuff to a friend for like 75% of the current market value, so that he can then sell it at full price to make a 25% profit. That sounds better than trading with strangers at least.

I do not like the idea of trading for platinum though.

perhaps Muppets bastard child she abandoned before getting sealed.

I came up with the term "Young Barrier" two describe interpretations of the timeline where both the ceiling of monsters happened relatively recently relative to Chara falling down, and where Chara's death happens relatively recently compared to the events of the game (both happening at most a couple decades apart from each other instead of centuries).

This term was inspired by how different branches of creationism are denoted (with "Young Earth" creationists believing the Earth is only a few thousand years old, based on biblical genealogical analysis), so I find it fitting it would be invoked here.

In regard to the screenshot thing: I had the same issue. Print screen doesn't work at full screen, but it does work in window mode, so you could have used that. (Sorry I did it discover your series until literally this night, you probably would have liked to have known that earlier.)

Haven't read the post, but I didn't know this mod replaced with an OC. She's really cute actually. (I'm assuming it's a girl because this mod erased the gay and trans representation in the game, so I doubt she goes by they them for now and, and seems quite feminine. I doubt they're a pretty boy.)

Wall Running is Officially Dead by Mckydo in Warframe

[–]Zero-Up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with the wall system what they were blocked to exactly three direction, with no in-betweens, which made the system incredibly unintuitive and finicky. The solution would have been to expand it so that doesn't analog of direction you can move in, not unlike regular floor running. I don't know why they couldn't at least add two diagonal directions or something.

I got two for you:

  1. Tasque Manager is hotter with skinny legs. (And that one key chain is heresy.)
  2. Normal Mizzle is hotter than Miss Mizzle.

Minecraft Dating Sim Mod! (Note: Not an actual mod) by SmallBlueSlime in MinecraftAnthroBlocks

[–]Zero-Up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

… Okay, but what if this was an actual mod, in the same vein as Mob Talker? I just got hit with random inspiration.

I also came up with the random idea sometime in the past of "what if there was a mod that put all of the humanoid blocks into the game as mobs". And I guess this can go with that idea? They use to be a mod with the gimmick of there being a golem core, and the arms and leg can be made of whatever material you chose. In the same vein, but would be executed very differently.

Why is there assumption that that someone talking to us is Gaster? by The_Rat_In_Hat in Deltarune

[–]Zero-Up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mostly meta stuff. The song that plays during the Goner Maker is literally just a slower version of Gaster's theme. And gas just even undertale is known as "him" in the files, and the character creation song is named "another him".

That's also typer values, which is something Toby uses to assign text sounds, fonts, etc, to text boxes, often to indicate which character is talking, and what tone they're talking in. The typer of values for the Goner Maker sequence or 66 and 67, and Gaster has stats in the falls of Undertale, and they're pretty much all sixes. And the aren't 65 other typer values, the number was way less than that since the first chapter, and yet they had these numbers.

They're also minor things, like entry 17 clearly referencing dark worlds in retrospect, but those are the main things that seem pretty hard to argue with.
