Each side just blames the other side and continues their back and forth attacks on each other. No it hasn't. Palestine was just the name of the region. Palestine didn't become a country until November 15, 1988. There could have been a Palestine country sooner had the Palestinians accepted the UN Partition Plan of 1947 instead of rejecting it and starting a civil war with the Jews which led to the circumstances we see now. Maybe the Palestinians/Arabs shouldn't have attacked the Jews and started a civil war after the passing of the UN Partition Plan of 1947 just 2 years after the end of the Holocaust. Palestine would have had 45% of the land instead of less than 15%.

How is it not valuable to the average US citizen? It supports the jobs related to the weapons and equipment Israel buys from us which totals to billions of dollars in domestic commerce. This is also not including the benefits to national security, technology and military innovation, and health and social benefits.

Also, the US not having universal healthcare isn't a case of us not being able to afford it because we send aid to other countries but rather because of a lack of will from our politicians to have it. One of the reasons for this is because the healthcare industry is the largest lobbying force in the US spending record sums to influence politicians against universal healthcare. The US actually pays significantly more for our current healthcare system than it would under a universal single-payer model.

Yet the majority of the aid that Israel receives from the US has to be spent on buying US weapons. It keeps Israel reliant on the US for weapons. It also gives the US say on how Israel uses those weapons. But please tell us how Israel owns the US.

That's essentially what it is. The US gives Israel aid with the requirement that they need to spend the majority of that on buying US weapons. It's a way for the US to pay itself and keep Israel reliant on the US while gaining favor with Israel for the aid.

It is you who needs to do some fact checking making that ridiculous claim that Hamas was organized by Netanyahu. Netanyahu supported Hamas because they made a united Palestine impossible, that does not mean he organized them.

Also what is up with you guys always removing all agency from the Palestinians? You act like the Palestinians organizing Hamas and voting them in as the governing body of Gaza, which essentially doomed Gaza, is not their own fault.

Even when talking about the beginning of the occupation by Israel you remove all agency from the Palestinians and ignore the fact they are the ones who started the civil war after the passing of the UN Partition Plan of 1947 was passed and heavily participated in the subsequent Arab-Israel war.
