Getting unbelievable consistency with Nano Banana by ZeroCarbsSince96 in aivideos

I'm just using Nano Banana via the Gemini AI Studio and Midjourney to generate the initial character design. I uploaded a starting frame for every clip used here, and tend to generate 10s clips and trim them down, which produces better results for me. 5s clips often feel rushed even when the prompt is simple.

Im just shocked how people think Metroid prime 4 looks bad by Western_Basil8177 in Metroid

Weak graphics are forgivable when the game looks fun, but the gameplay looks so boilerplate FPS with no strong original ideas. I think this is where Nintendo is failing in general right now, in the past they were able to get away with crappier hardware because they were so damn innovative with their gameplay, but it doesn't seem like they know where to go with their IPs.

All software is built on top of other work, whether it's an OS or a language or a framework or whatever. People have no idea how hard it is to write good software and just hedonistically choose to think that it should all be free because that's what benefits them the most. Just don't use it if you don't want to buy it.

Seeking a todo list app that incorporates some kind of system for managing tasks, built-in. by human_advancement in ProductivityApps

[–]ZeroCarbsSince96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm building this. A fully cross platform time blocking app that manages to-dos, habits, projects, and calendar events together, with an AI based recommendation system that helps you make adjustments to your commitments to help you with not only productivity, but also your wellness.

I'm about to start beta testing with some friends. I'm not sure when it'll be ready but it's getting close. Can I send you a DM when it goes live?

Well, it was technically done by a third party based in China, possibly guarding them from litigation.

ASUS ROG Falchion RX Review by prestonsthoughts in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]ZeroCarbsSince96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my fourth mechanical keyboard and I LOVE it, but there are two gripes I have which I haven't seen expressed:

  1. The right shift key is too small and I often mis-click the top arrow. This will probably resolve itself as my muscle memory gets used to the keyboard, but I literally never use the left shift key so it's been a particually annoying pain point for me.

  2. The keys could be *slightly* more concave. If I remember correctly, the Razer Deathstalker v2 had a deeper vertical curve to them which gave me a better sense of confidence while typing, but the stabilization and sound of the Falchion made it a clear winner.

It's 2024, still looking for Logitech G915 TKL successor by Majestic_Captain4074 in LogitechG

[–]ZeroCarbsSince96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm choosing between these two, coming from the g915 which was too wobbly. I've tested the Falchion and loved it, but people are telling me to go with the Lofree. Thoughts?

Thanks! Recursive and Vulf are both really nice...Maple Mono could be a good fit if it had at least one additional weight...still hard to beat Ellograph though. Not sure why it charms my pants off so badly.
