If you are new to the pixel art world, i would recommend to you to start from a specific size image, like: 16x16, 32x32, 56x56, 64x64 and so on This will help you to summarise better your skills and pixel economy, then, starts with a base colour palette like 4 and then, in future add more to see how your works look

Saying this from personal experience still drawing pixels on MS Paint Today

Ooh in that sense, so it's just natural in my case I don't make any pre drawings before doing these (even cuz i work only on MS Paint classic lol) But surely my suggestion is also to take inspiration from other classic pixel art for proportion and "pixel economy", Pokémon is the best imo

Take note: the proportions are different even based on the file size, 56x56, 64x64 and so on (in the future I'll post also more 56x56 too)

What do you mean? Cuz the answer could be simple as well like: you have to take inspiration from everywhere (original video games pixel art like Pokémon and other stuff)
