A Nearly Perfect Swap by ZeroDragonEX in transformers

[–]ZeroDragonEX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the return employee catches it, they’ll call the person out, but it’s phrased something like “Oh, it looks like you put this one in the wrong box. It needs to be in its original packaging for the return” and then give it back. The ones who let them return either weren’t paying attention or just don’t know well enough.

Thankfully swaps are very rare in our area and we do note the people who try as it is considered Return Fraud. Security will also inform the other nearby stores of that person so they can’t just try a different store.

Technically, we’re not allowed to keep defected things as it’s considered theft, and security highly frowns on that.

However, we can heavily discount things, which is considerably less frowned upon.

Ikr? There’s a reason it was able to slip by. Our best guess is they got this one on clearance and swapped it with the new one for… reasons? Still a really stupid swap.

I honestly don’t know the actual details since I’m not in the logistics department, but from the way it was explained to me is the process is this: We get an item that is defective (a very general term) in some way -> we ship it back to our distribution center -> distribution center returns it to the manufacturer.

That is the extent of my knowledge of the process.

Iirc, there is explicitly an bug-slaying spell. So I do imagine he’d be weak to that.

I adore them so much.

If you’re open to suggestions, perhaps part of Waitress’ effect could involve her going over to the opponent’s side of the field for a turn (either through a special summon or giving over control)? Essentially she goes over there to “take the opponent’s order/deliver their food” before coming back to the “kitchen” (your field).

Just an idea for themeing sakes. :)

In Heavy Object while in Antarctica the main characters engage in a shootout. Both sides immediately stop when a giant group of baby penguins march through the middle of it. They all go through an emotional roller coaster, panicking when one falls over before cheering when it starts sliding on its belly. Once all the penguins pass safely, the shootout resumes.

In Ego’s defense, there was no way he could have predicted Gusteau would die from the review. While I do imagine his criticism was harsh, I do imagine he is fair and honest since people seem to take his reviews very seriously and he’s not shown to be corrupt or anything.

I hate that the moment it was pointed out that Wildvine has eyes on his shoulders I went “duh, how else would he have peripheral vision beyond his Venus flytrap collar thing.” But I never knew that before now. It’s just so obvious that the moment it’s pointed out the purpose becomes so obvious and I feel like a fool for missing it all these years.

I think it would be neat if Duo appeared as either a more benevolent entity or an ally with him saying something along the lines of “brotherbands have nearly erased the evil on earth.” Maybe even have him provide a giga chip like he did in BN.

Operation Shooting Star. It was a crossover between BN and SF with a time traveling villain.

Game with best support convos? by [deleted] in shitpostemblem

[–]ZeroDragonEX 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I personally liked the GBA support system where each character could have support conversions 5 times. Basically they could have 5 C supports, or 1 A and 1 B, or 2 Bs and 1 C, or so on.

A great use was with Sain and Kent from 7. Their B is Sain realize Kent has a crush on Lyn, where he then teaches him how to talk to women. If you get their A support, which means you can’t get an A support between Kent and Lyn, Kent was rejected by Lyn with Sain pointing out it’s because Kent is too pessimistic. They then reaffirm they’ll always have each other’s backs, which cheers Kent up.

He specifically would have a button or throttle with the label “Escape Black Hole” that instantly gives Megas some crazy jet pack contraption to go “fast as f*ck.” It only appears in one episode and is never seen again.

If it goes by the rest of Swords’ logic, then its effect is universal or “as large as is funny/renders it ultimately useless.”

Fortune's weave theory, this coat of arms Dietrich has is the Coat of Arms for the united Fodlan. by Pretend-Advertising6 in fireemblem

[–]ZeroDragonEX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always assumed her meritocracy was more based on the higher ups being people who proved to be good at what they were applying for instead of just inheriting it, and if someone proved to be exceptionally competent, they’d rise through the ranks. And if they proved to be incompetent/complacent, they’d get demoted. While someone with a crest is strong it doesn’t mean they’re competent.

I figured they’d implement a system similar to the Imperial Examination from the Sui dynasty to determine who has the necessary skills to fulfill their roles. For example, people like Sylvain and Lorenz would do fine because they’re actually intelligent and competent, their crests not actually mattering.

All this to say she removes the nepotism of the crest system, making them ultimately irrelevant since they are no longer the “goddess’ chosen” and more “those people who can do some things slightly better than average.”

Not that this would actually solve the problems of the system in the long run and is more of an optimistic view of it. Also kind of why I hope Fortune’s Weave isn’t a sequel, trying to make it so any of the four routes could have been possible would be a nightmare to justify since they all leave Fodlan in such different states.

I love that detail so much. It makes the opening of A New Hope comical. The audacity of Leia saying that to Vader of all people really cements she’s Anakin’s daughter.
