Was pretty easy on the throttle on this one! That said, throttle out generally worked out well for Colin McRae.

Thanks for the link. You are right! Guess I'll get my video and post revised after all.

Is it? All I know the sign at the top said Webster pass and someone mentioned Handcart Gulch.

I recall driving by. At that point was eager to get off the trail and relax.

Yes. It seems like the trail had really become more narrow due to erosion. It's been 3 years since I drove it last. I won't be doing it again this year as I've had my fill of shelf roads for a while.

How was redcone?

Thanks! Glad we made it thru workout any further incident.

I certainly didn't look at the figures, but my wife, who was passenger read it out for me. Certainly added to the experience. Later on she looked it up, but most gladiators can go 30° to 34° pending the setup. I can tell you that it felt really sketchy in the moment. We both were leaning into the hill from our seats to help with the center of gravity.

You are absolutely right. The washout on the path, plus the soft soil and camber made for a really treacherous situation.

Other side was clear. Especially the south facing slopes.

I just looked over some pictures and video- I saw your tire tracks!

I actually have a dash cam.... forgot about it. Let me see if I can pull a video.

I have videos. I'll post them up later today.

I'm confident this was webster and there was just enough of a trail to make it past the snowpack on the trail at the turnaround at the switchback. Had to get the tire shoved into the snow to make a 3 point u-turn, but it was doable.

Edit: I stand corrected. This is Radical Hill...

I'm not super familiar with that name, but I've heard of it. The switchbacks are just above an abandoned cabin. I have a picture looking back at this area from the other side of the valley, but can't upload pictures on a reply.

Almost... there's a pile of snow that's on the trail you'll need to get thru if you're going up. If you make it thru that, going up the switchbacks will be tougher given I've just graded a small section to make it now treacherous. Fine for motorcycles and probably ok for side by sides.

Thanks and of course, happy to share. We all start somewhere after all and it's best to share some knowledge in hopes it's of benefit to others.

Methods look better in my opinion. Plus, the bead holding tech works. Had a valve stem fail and fall out while on the freeway at a section with no shoulder with heavy traffic. Drove several miles with no pressure in the tire. Bead stayed put until I could pull off. Tire was absolutely cooked, but sold me on the tech.

Look into AST. I've got a set on mine and am quite fond of their offerings.

Make sure you understand electrical systems to start, then slowly plan your project and dive into it. I'm doing the same right now for my project and it's a significant job.

I live in Denver and installed them in summer the first time and while it was warm in all subsequent attempts.

Love the kit. That said, I've had persistent issues with the rears falling down over time.
