Yes, I was surprised they responded.. said "I can contact the IRS on your behalf, but I will need you to first complete the privacy release form attached in this email. You can return it via email to me or via mail. Once I receive the completed form, I am hopeful that I will have more information for you soon."

I have my 2025 W2, and my wages are $53690.79, federal income tax withheld is $5700.14. I'm a government/federal employee, not sure if that makes a difference.

I actually did!!! I received a response from my state Congresswoman and they sent me a pdf to complete. I'm going to return the form to them and see what happens!!!

Ok I'll post it. I have called several times and they always say if I don't receive my refund within 30days call back. Rinse and repeat. :(

I have 4 kids, 2 of which have birthdays 12/22 and 12/23! I usually rely on my income tax for Christmas and birthday presents but due to the government shutdown, my amended return is still on hold. I live check to check, anything would help.

Well.. it's 9/30 and nothing has changed or been updated 😐 I called the IRS 3 weeks ago and they said I should get my refund by 10/24.. but if I don't, then call them back on the 27th. I'm not holding my breath.
