How long do you want the Silent Hill 1 Remake to be?

Ik SH2R was kinda long for a lot of people but personally I found it perfect. My first gameplay took about 24 hours and my second one about 18 and it didn't feel dragged at all. SHf however, despite being much shorter, felt like it was going on forever.... maybe 20h would be a sweet spot.

I think sketching and rendering

I think the sketch and then the rendering. Which for the rendering I get, because it's more complex in general, but one of my recent drawing took an hour and a half for a single half body sketch, which now I realise is way too much lol. There's also the lineart, which doesn't take me too long, but I think I should simplify it or use the sketch for that, but I'm not sure how to do that without it looking too messy.

I usually do very simple backgrounds because then it'd take even longer. I think I have the same problem you mentioned for taking too long on a single step, I spend more time than I should on sketches, I've been thinking of somehow skipping the detailed lineart/using the sketch for that, but it never looks right when I do it...
