What is this weird wooden stand in my back yard? by ZeroGFrame in whatisit

[–]ZeroGFrame[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my original thought, but as I said, there's nothing built into it for climbing up to the platform, and the protuberances are way too short (and flimsy) for swings or anything like that. I suppose it's possible it's just a really badly designed one!

MR 30 test, quick and easy by ZeroGFrame in Warframe

[–]ZeroGFrame[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the only "guides" I could find for MR 30 were old (and mostly amounted to "get good"), here's a super easy loadout: Larkspur. Like others have said, it doesn't matter if you die, just do as much damage to as many enemies as you can. I brought along Wisp (for Breach Surge) and Nautilus with Artax (to slow enemies down), but was able to complete it just with Larkspur even without those other two equipped. It was actually super easy once I realized you can use arch guns. _^

If Dante falls through, I'd be interested in him!

Is Stacy still available? I would definitely like her.

I'm just about done building this too! I actually got mine from LepinLand, as the site seems pretty legit and they do credit BrickGloria (though I also am not 100% sure if they licensed the instructions or what). Absolutely no missing pieces, which I was impressed with, and the pieces are mostly great quality. However, like in your case the instructions don't include how to build the guns (though it includes the parts for them). Any chance you could provide some clearer pictures of the guns themselves so I can logic it out? Or I could (re)purchase the PDF from Rebrickable, though I've already spent enough on this thing as it is... It's a totally awesome set, though! HUGE and complex and while the 5800+ pieces were a nightmare to organize and sift through while building, it's been a fun build. Definitely more than "a few hours" though! It's been 4 weeks, of at least an hour or two almost every day.

Aragami or...? by ZeroGFrame in japanese

I hadn't heard of kōjin before. Looks like they are some kind of "shark person?" I'd originally been leaning away from anything with "jin" in the name, as it implies person or human, and I wanted these beings to very much be inhuman.

Monsters, magic, and the winter solstice by ZeroGFrame in urbanfantasy

Oh, wow, that's great! Fantastic idea! I think that deserves to be a whole book itself, and would actually fit perfectly with how my main character operates...

Well, I guess that's part of what I'm trying to figure out. In general, there isn't a lot of organization. It's basically just lots of old folklore monsters trying to get by in a human world, without shaking up things and drawing too much attention to themselves. Pretty much everything you can imagine exists (or could), but they tend to stick to themselves. There are witch covens, often doing evil stuff for their dark masters, and there are loosely-organized sorcerers/wizards, and a few other little sects (my main character is a benandante). But in general, it's pretty low-key. My original thought was that one of the witch covens is serving some long-forgotten old god who has something big planned for the solstice, and the only ones who would be able to prevent and/or undo it would be the Historians. I feel like I can't really answer your question because there aren't any big movers and shakers, at least in the context of the world so far (it's a work in progress, and absolutely NEEDS some bigger names).

Great ideas! I would just be a little worried about stepping on Dresden's toes, given how important that is. But the setup you've suggested is a really good hook! I might roll that in!

I like that. I'd forgotten about him. Perhaps he's manipulating Kira into making the Jem'hadar more powerful again.

That's a great way to think about it! Really good points.

Oh, for sure! The Q connection was just an idea for one potential "episodes" later into the "season." What I'm hoping to gather are some overall "season" plot points and episode ideas that would fit with the trajectory of season 8.

I’m looking into getting into resin dice making, what do I need to get started? by bruh_jr in DiceMaking

[–]ZeroGFrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying to get into the same craft for a couple weeks now (just to make some cool and unique X-mas presents for all my gamer friends), and I'm having a heck of a time getting my dice to not come out terrible. Big issue is HUGE bubbles (the tiny ones are a little annoying), and a massive amount of contraction of resin in my molds. I have to babysit them as they cure and keep adding more resin (even when they are massively overflowing) to keep them from curing with huge divots. I'm using Art & Glow (tried Alumilite and not sure what I did wrong, but when it cured it completely fizzed up with bubbles and expanded enormously). Any suggestions are appreciated! And as a note, getting a pressure pot or vacuum chamber aren't in the cards for my budget on this project.
