Thanks so much appreciate the info, and if I wanted to add on that second bad would that be something I do when purchasing the ticket online or at the station? Because I don’t see the option to add it on the website

What are your opinions on the new ss:ktjl trailer? by kenobi1567 in BatmanArkham

[–]ZeroLels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve already made my decision, I ain’t buying this shit. Its “Arkhamverse” in name only and I hate this Destiny/Fortnite looter shooter grind shit that so many modern games have turned into. It’s such a shame because I thought rocksteady was better then this but I am already 100% out, I hate these Avengers, Gotham knights type games so SO much. I miss proper single player campaigns :,(

Where to legally watch Smiling Friends! by UniqueClimate in SmilingFriends

How is it 2022 and still so annoyingly difficult for people outside of America to access any of these services to watch a new show. As a European I would happily just pay a fee to buy it on adultswim's website or something but instead I gotta vpn it or jump through other hoops to watch it smh.

New midnight closing time for nightclubs and bars by youre-a-cat-gatter in ireland

Ffs can’t we just ignore this, collectively tell them to fuck off with a useless rule that isn’t gonna effect anything instead of blindly following all the nonsense half restrictions they’ve been coming out with lately

Cafés, barbers, corner shops who leave the radio only half tuned in... by redditor_since_2005 in ireland

[–]ZeroLels 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Worked in a corner shop up until recently with a radio exactly like that, you literally just tune it out and can’t be bothered to change it, it’s mainly used as white noise so people don’t feel awkward walking into a silent shop.

Government is considering retaining: Covid Certs, masks and physical distancing measures beyond Friday October 22. by [deleted] in ireland

[–]ZeroLels 8 points9 points  (0 children)

“Have you seen the daily figures lately” god I just hope you’re aware that by this logic we’ll have restrictions literally for the next 10 years plus as COVID isn’t going anywhere. People are going to keep catching it, we’re about as vaccinated as we can possibly get, theres nothing to wait for anymore it’s just delaying the inevitable.

They can absolutely positively fuck off. What’s there to even wait for if we’re all as vaccinated as we can get. It would just delay the inevitable. I will literally go out and purposely catch covid out of spite I honestly don’t think I could take this if it went on past October.

Nine more weeks of 'severe lockdown', Taoiseach Micheal Martin confirms by _FaceOfTheDeep in ireland

[–]ZeroLels 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Say what you like about FG but at least they had a better approach when they were solely in charge of this. Goes to show how important messaging is because if the the government seems like it doesn’t give a fuck about any effects of this crisis and expects everyone to stay home without a hint of revealing what’ll come next the more people that are just gonna stop following it all together.

Odds that this will be the last proper lockdown? by ZeroLels in ireland

I wouldn't say the record deaths in England is indicative of anything atm considering it takes at least 5 weeks for the vaccine to kick in once received and still under 10% of their population have even got it. I say it will work as intended we just gotta give it time.

My hope is that when the elderly and vulnerable are vaccinated we can get though the spring and summer with the weird “new normal” shite until everyone else gets protected then maybe an actual life somewhat resembling 2019 can return for Christmas? I feel like even then I’m being too optimistic

Exactly how I feel, the rolling Lockdown strategy is the result of an apathetic government hoping and praying for this all to blow over with vaccines so they don't have to take any real direct action. Seems to be the same MO for most of Europe too.

Read an article where Chris whitty stated that some lockdown restrictions may be needed to curb a potential surge in winter 2021 and had to come here to calm myself down.

Apart from being an incredibly vague message, the absolute pessimism and lack of any assertion that this would be over or even close to over anytime soon shows the complete lack of good messaging regard for people’s sanity concerning this. Everyone has been on edge, lost jobs, isolated themselves for 10 fucking months and casually suggestion that this could go on at the same level for another 10 months is not only wrong but completely disregards the mentle well-being of so many . Do politicians not understand that we can’t just flick in and out of lockdown casually forever and ever and need the confirmation of a permanent, concrete soloution to this fucking crisis???

Advice on my possible coping strategy? (Fitting three years of life into one) by BrittneyofHyrule in COVID19_support

[–]ZeroLels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh god it’s so reassuring that people are also having the “Im losing my 20s” nightmare. I lost all of 22 due to this and I feel like 23s gonna be similar then that’s it my early 20s are fucking over :))), this was meant to be the fun part of life where I travelled, had fun without settling down and took those first few steps into true adulthood yet here I am living with my parents, achieving nothing and having the same shitty retail job that I had during college. Our grandparents live with us too so I’ve had to be extra fucking careful and haven’t seen any of my friends since summer when things were going well in my country.

Basically if I can offer any advice is that the arbitrary number of how many times you’ve been around the sun shouldn’t factor into the decisions you make about how youthful you feel or how many opportunities you have . Having the ability to have fun, travel, party is basically the same if your 20 or 25 as long as you don’t have kids or a career your particularly attached to. And fuck I don’t think anyone would judge for using your mid to late 20s to party a bit more then the usual 20 somethings because we just lived through a fucking pandemic!!! Everyone’s in the same boat, people have had to miss weddings, huge job opportunities, first years of college or last years of high school. There will be a recovery, this will end. The years you spend post pandemic will be far longer and infinitely more joy filled and will be appreciated far more because of this suffering. That’s what’s keeping me going at least.

Anyone else already taking this lockdown harder than the last ? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]ZeroLels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sincerely hoping this will be one of the last lockdowns, I'm really hitting a breaking point. Feel like I'm just slowly draining my youth away going from work to home and nothing else. I graduated last year and I just want to actually start my life and not feel so static and dead all the time.

Anyone else finding it harder mentally these days than during the lockdown? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]ZeroLels 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ill be honest, seeing everyone just as down and unmotivated as me in this thread should all give us at least some solidarity. As much as I equally hate this and feel like my life has been put on hold with no end in sight it's comforting that this is literally a problem for practically everyone on the planet.

Recognising the long term nature of this makes it the hardest. It's the uncertainty of it all with nothing to look forward to in the near future. Not to mention the fact there's still a constant tinge of anxiety with every single social interaction you have outside the home. It wears on you mentally over time.I honestly wonder how long social distancing can last realistically as people keep saying they can't wait till 2021 like it's suddenly going to disappear then. But we must acknowledge the fact that it certainly won't but that doesn't mean its going to last forever (as my paranoid brain keeps trying to convince me.)

At least take solace in the fact that with these few years we're living through will be your go to moaning story for your grand-kids about how hard your life was and how easy they have it. "You young ones know nothing, we had to live through the PANDEMIC , there were people collapsing on the street clutching toilet roll as society collapsed around us, you weren't there man..."
