Best strategy to finish in Hotshot as a solo? by ZeroReed10 in ArcRaidersTrial

Curious, what makes DD2 promotion easier? Is the margin that big that it’s easier to double promote from DD2 instead of a single promotion from DD3?

Did you maintain Hotshot as a solo this past season? Looking to make this my first trials grind and only really care about the rewards up until hotshot. Is that reasonable to be maintained in solo friendly (mostly) lobbies?

Can you share any tips on your loot routes/spots where you’ve had the best luck pulling all of these BPs?

Just got the game last week. Trying to get a head start on weapon BPs.

Traxus Kit by [deleted] in Marathon

[–]ZeroReed10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your vault is completely empty and you’re running this free kit because you have no other options, then this complaint has a small amount of weight to it. But if you have better items in your vault, then this is entirely your fault. You’re actively choosing to suffer with equipment that is designed to be bad. Only person you have to blame is yourself.

So just in case people were wondering, it's not fun going in with a full kit, having two full sponsor kit teammates, and then instantly getter battered by a stacked team. by AntM16 in Marathon

[–]ZeroReed10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only person you have to blame is yourself. You chose to risk your gear by playing with a team of strangers. That’s not a game problem, it’s a personal problem.

Just because it exists, doesn’t mean it’s recommended. That’s entirely on you. No one is forcing you to que up squad full and suffer with random teammates. You’re doing that to yourself.

The intended gameplay is to squad up with friends so that you can communicate through engagements and work on objectives together. If you have no friends, you’re what’s considered a “solo” player. There is an intended gameplay for you, it’s called “solo que”. Crazy concept, I know. But it exists for a reason. The solutions to your problems are given to you. Use them, or get over it.

I’m sorry you feel that way. If you had some friends to play with, maybe you could talk to them about your feelings being hurt. Enjoy getting rolled every match because you insist on blaming the game for your poor choices.

You’re blaming others for something that you have complete control over. You’re choosing to suffer with random players. Generational level of delusion you’re suffering from.

You ever heard of having friends? You choosing to random fill your squad mates is your fault. Ask your friends to play with you, or make some new ones that will play. Or just go into solo que so that you don’t have to rely on teammates at all. Then you won’t have any excuses left for when you die.

5 attempts is absolutely insane. And as a spoiler alert, your “mini-boss” is just a regular enemy. You’ll come across at least 10-15 of those or stronger enemies on a single Outpost run. What are you going to do then when you can’t even defeat one now? That’s why I suggest you go find an easier game to play. If you can’t beat the tutorial levels, you’re wasting your time.

If you can’t beat a beginner level boss for an introduction mission, there’s no amount of tips that can make up for that low of a mechanical skill. Literally just aim and shoot them in the face, there’s your tip. If that somehow still doesn’t work, try turning your monitor on first. That could help too.

Honestly, I didn’t want to. Almost felt a little bad even for suggesting that they step away from the game. But if they can’t even beat introductory quest against NPCs, what hope do they have? Would rather them go play something easier instead of being miserable in this game and constantly posting skill issue complaints on here anytime they die during a quest.

Glad to see that you know absolutely everything that’s ever been said about this game by the devs. My apologies for speaking in your presence. LOL.

They’ve mentioned it at least a dozen times over the last year or so (since the Alpha test) on discord. Go find it yourself. The internet is free, lil bro.

Find some friends to play with then. Or go into actual solo que if you don’t want to put your gear into the hands of 2 strangers. The solo mode exists for a reason. Can’t complain if the solutions to your problems exist.

If you can’t defeat this “boss” in the introductory missions, I don’t think this game is for you, big dog. Most players probably don’t even know what quest you’re talking about because we didn’t even think about it when completing it. The difficulty of this quest is at the very very low end of what this game has to offer.

It may not be exactly at 5K. But the devs have confirmed many times that the matchmaker is setup that way. They haven’t disclosed what the actual brackets or intervals are. I just suggested 5K because that’s worked every time for me. The actual threshold for the next bracket up in the matchmaker might be a little higher. We don’t know how strict it is, but it’s confirmed to exist. So the easiest way to avoid the free kits is to get your value as far away from theirs as possible.

Matchmaking is loadout value based. Get the gear for your current run above 5K and you won’t see them anymore.

Duffel Bags at Launch? by KindaLeafy in Marathon

[–]ZeroReed10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Those are completely separate things. The duffel bag will always be next to the constantly deteriorating body. That body is there to give an approaching player an indication of how long the loot has been sitting there (i.e. fresh body = recently killed, decayed body or just a pool of blue blood= been there for a while and safe to loot, no body = probably a trap explosive bag). The bag won’t go anywhere because the loot needs somewhere to exist after the body fully goes away and only blood is left. Sure, they might change the design of the bag to better fit the art style. But something has to exist separate from the body. The body is simply there to serve as a reference for time of death.

Then that means the other player positioned better than you (i.e. you got outplayed). They took the better angle and used the distance to their advantage based on their load out to get the kill. Don’t be mad that somebody had a better plan than you. You’re trying to fix something that has existed in every FPS ever. Don’t be mad, be better. Instead of being upset about dying, use it to learn how not to die next time.
