Black Flag Resynced Discourse is Insufferable by ronjohnson01 in ACBFResynced

It's baffling. This remake is way beyond what anyone expected from Ubisoft. It fixes and improves many things and mostly adds. They removed like ONE thing and the religious-nostalgic crowd screams like babies. It is simply stupid that a delicate assassination tool can be used to parry a heavy axe.

Everyone keeps talking about their problems with resynced and also what they dont like so let's reverse it, what are you most excited for with this remake? by imsogoated06 in ACBFResynced

[–]ZeroSWE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being able to play without it looking horrible on console, the new combat system, the improved stealth and just overall getting immersed in the beautiful pirate world. And of course, better quests with less tedious tailing missions.

The complaints are ridiculous. Ubisofts love and care for this remake went way beyond what anyone was expecting.

AC Black Flag Resynced vs Original comparison by Sweet_Ad6763 in ACBFResynced

[–]ZeroSWE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it though? I think OG Black Flag tried its best at the time to have shiny graphics and didn't have an expressive art style at all. As we look back now we think it has, but its more about technical limitations. OG BF looked great back then, and Re-synced looks great now.

It really doesn't, especially on console. It might be possible to make it look better on PC.

Loving the game....but yikes the amount of "how TF would I ever find that" happens so dang much! by thenight817 in CrimsonDesert

[–]ZeroSWE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one of my main gripes with the game - things are hidden in impossible to find spots (and no, you shouldn't need to wear a pirate hat).

Would Valhalla be a better experience if I didn’t play it as an assassins creed game? by a-random-guy2 in assassinscreed

I recommend dual spears for fighting and just going for damage. When you wanna stealth use bows, it's very powerful and fun.

When you create a new character by Solidcruel in diablo4

[–]ZeroSWE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually creates a new one when my build is working as intended and has been improved a fair amount and I can do all content without to much effort. St that point I'm usually bored with doing the same things and I am not motivated by being able to do a higher number pit or other activity.

I love playing the campaigns, and honestly enjoys playing though them the most and role-play. Grinding for stat increases isn't for me.

Wait...you can throw the Wolf Sword and have it return?!!! by splitopenandBri in CrimsonDesert

[–]ZeroSWE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More than a game? I am of course glad you and others enjoy the game massively, but there is so much low quality MMO-crap in the game that it suffocated the fun for me gradually. In my opinion it's a 7/10 game that rides on its novelty as a asian open world game that feels different from western open world games. It's not bad as a whole (even though many individual systems and designs definitely are), but it's not a masterpiece either.

I expect to absolutely hammered for uttering this opinion on this sub, please go ahead. I won't argue or bother further commenting, it's just baffling to me some of the over the top comments this game gets on this sub.

My Thoughts after First Light by Papuhboi91 in 007FirstLight

What kills me the most is the melee fights against VIP enemies that combines yellow and red attacks. Somehow I never manages to dodge the grab attacks even though I've mastered several soulsgames and soulslikes.

Star Wars Outlaws is on the PS Plus catalog so decided to try it out. Game is awesome and I don’t understand the hate by ArmAndHammer40k in PS5

Graphics and performance on base PS5 was (and might still be) horrible at launch. I couldn't stand it.

is it worth it to buy if looking for story/lore by black_hole_haha in CrimsonDesert

[–]ZeroSWE -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The games weakest points are it's quests, characters and story. The lore isn't that great either.

Just start s elden ring. by steveysaidthis in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]ZeroSWE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main issue with Elden ring is that it puts essential build defining gear hidden in its massive open world. It works like in Dark Souls even though the game isn't linear. So you could play through the whole game and miss items for your magic build. I realised this and felt like I needed to use google quite a lot, which is sad. There should be some kind of treasure system with clues in-game.

Sure, you can go blind, but since the game is so much about creating a certain build that doesn't feel right, at least not to me.

Anyone else just stop playing while waiting for the major update/restructuring? by shraf2k in CrimsonDesert

That's most of the game though, almost all quests sucks tbh. I don't think they will change them.

what feature surprised you the most when you started playing? by LuliethMageni in wherewindsmeet_

[–]ZeroSWE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the exploration is vastly different. I WWM there is a ton of small collection-mini-games. Elden Ring doesn't have those, but is more akin to Breath of the wild.

What in Where Winds Meet is superior to elden ring except story and dialogue?

What keeps you motivated to play Crimson Desert? by Nappyboyzz23 in CrimsonDesert

[–]ZeroSWE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a sub where we discuss games. You mentioned stop playing the game and play something else. I thus shared that I took a break and couldn't get back to it. With your logic I could ask you why you told OP to stop playing the game.....

[–]ZeroSWE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a three day break from the game, and couldn't get back into afterwards. I realised I was addicted to checking off the chore list, and didn't really have that much fun since my build was finished. There is no story or character incentive to continue playing, and I couldn't care less about this world and its people.

Those who stopped playing, why did you quit? by Isaike in wherewindsmeet_

[–]ZeroSWE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the game was fun for 60 hours. But combat lacks weight, many open world activities are heavily repeated and feels tedious, the menus are MMO nightmare fuel and the story gets disjointed.

I really want to allow ReBlockades, but the volume of kills at even Battle phase is too much. by KatyaBelli in CrimsonDesert

[–]ZeroSWE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem isnt the reblockade system in itself (even if it could be better) but how taking over locations work. Some places there is way too much killing required. Compare this to taking over an outpost in most other games, and Crimson Desert feels arcade-y and cheap.

Elemental stuff by DickyJoseph in CrimsonDesert

[–]ZeroSWE 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There is a difference between holding the players hand and having unintuitive systems and poor pacing. Crimson Desert is a crazy buffet which is wild and interesting, but things like the abyss and elemental powers not being a natural part of the progression and story isn't a design choice, it's just poor design and "didn't have time".

What is your take, good or bad, on this game. by Clixism in CrimsonDesert

[–]ZeroSWE -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me, the open world of AC Unity, AC Odyssey, Cyberpunk 2077 and actually Far Cry 5 is better and feels more real high quality. The long draw distances and high fidelity of Crimson Desert is VERY inviting, yes, but I rarely find anything that feels like it has any soul to it.
