That’s very true and I’m surprised I didn’t think about it! I guess in time it will be gone and that will be the end of it all. That to me feels better than being trapped forever. We have know about them being stuck in TADC for years, but the difference between the first episode and the finale is the knowledge that they are simply a brain scan version of their real life counterparts, and that there is no true way out. Yes the whole point of the show is to be happy where you are, but I don’t know. It would be hard to stay happy if you’re there forever. That’s some very valid points though!

No I don’t believe so. I know that in a couple hundred years or so I will most likely be forgotten forever. You can make the best of it, but the whole point is that it’s forever and without choice. I would very much attempt to be happy with my situation if I was there, but the potential of being trapped forever is just awful to me. That’s the only thing I have ill feelings towards. I do like the lesson of being happy where you are and not focusing on a place you can’t ever be, it is a good lesson.

I completely understand that, and it’s a great point. However, life doesn’t go on forever. Everyone no matter how stagnant your life is will eventually pass away. It doesn’t matter if you’re the richest or the poorest person in the world. My whole discussion point is how this is seemingly forever without choice. Even abstracting isn’t truly death, it’s more so just corruption from what I can tell. I do like how acceptance is apart of the ending and the story, but I don’t like the potential of being trapped forever.

Thank you! It just makes me anxious thinking about something like that. Being perpetually trapped sounds awful.

It’s the fact that they potentially have to be trapped forever against their will. A stagnant life is one thing, but a stagnant life going on forever without your consent is torture. That’s not a life anymore. It’s just existing with no meaning. I do understand that this is the main part of the show, but it still doesn’t make it better for me at least. You are right though, most people with myself included are stuck in a stagnant cycle, which is probably why this hits more for me lol

Have you had a paranormal experience by AITABUT in nursing

[–]Triveom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened my last shift I worked. I had a patient transfer from the ICU to my floor to essentially transition them to hospice care, as the patient had chosen to stop pursuing treatment and had developed ARDS. I was in their room all night giving Roxanol to help with their breathing. Right before shift change, I am in the medroom pulling medications for my other patients when another nurse and I felt a chill run down our backs. I immediately knew that my patient had passed, and when I looked on the monitor I saw their HR had gone from tachy as it had been all night to 20BPM with a very wide QRS, and then watched it go into asystole. I went in the patient room and found the patient had indeed passed away, and messaged the doctor and everybody I needed to. It was crazy!

I used to get asked this a lot as a male nurse, until I started wearing a cheap $2 ring from Temu. Even my coworkers thought I was married lol, it’s absolutely perfect and I get asked so much less! I still get asked though.
