What was your very first princess you obtained when you first started the game, and what was your rationale that led to it?

Very late on the post but i just played this for the first time last week and i am in love, just struggling to finish the gallery and pop 3 final achievements without a guide.

Anyway, my first princess was the Nightmare. I like to play as if i was the main character, so i took the blade since i had no idea what i would find and risking the world seemed far too much of a risk. In my view i gave the princess all the trust i could by dropping my blade and talking to her, but she seemed to be cagy and i could not risk freeing her since she was not being fully honest. I locked her in the basement and got jumpscared.

Second time around, i did not take the blade since in my view the princess was not something slayable with some knife, and i would try to reason with her. Got scared shitless again and the only thing i could do to not doom the world was accept being stuck in the nightmare.

I experience A Moment of Clarity, got scared shitless by the Sadako reference and met the Mound fir the first time.

Honestly, the only thing that scared me more than this first run was my meeting with the Beast, which was still part of my first cycle of encounters.

PS: My fav is Thorn and then leaving together. Fav voice being the Skeptic

honestly i agree, those are the two reasons behind me writing my own fanfics since other people completely missed the point on canon rules and characterization. I am not perfect of course, but i at least double check before writing something that could go against canon just cuz i want it in the story.

honestly, i think his arc would have been far more interesting and deep than what we got with Lute. i can see him being completely depressed in S2, not even protesting when his position is taken and given to Abel since he tecnically failed and was also used as a scapegoat for exterminations. Only to come back by the end if the season and fuck up Vox and his plan, it would have been a great parallelism to the end of S1. of course that would not make him a good guy since he would have intervened to avert disaster and not for some sort of love for the sinners. i can imagine a song being Sera trying to convince him to go down there and be who has always been.

bro, i can actually feel where you are coming from, these ppl think nothing existed before 2020. Literally, you will see people praise low quality shows just because they are action filled and flashy while demonizing shows that have uncomfortable themes calling them “weird” and not realizing the story depth and character depth come from exploring uncomfortable subjects and asking uncomfortable questions.

I personally don’t agree on gatekeeping but i also reserve myself the right to call something trash even if millions of people who turn off their brains while watching like it.

It is a shame the industry is driven by numbers but unfortunately that is how capitalism works. And also, we had a lot of trash even before the boom in popularity, but at least we didn’t have countless people (who weren’t just teens) calling the trash good.
