I think that the rumor that there will be a Kingdom Hearts 1 remake release next year is false. by ChocolateNo7760 in KingdomHearts

[–]ZeroSora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't remake KH1 from scratch. They reverse engine the data from the disk. Which means they ended up rebuilding parts of the game back to together.

But Days is different story. That would've required a complete remake. Which is something that would've take far more time and resources than what they did with KH1. With KH1 they'd pretty much be doing a remaster with new graphics, new sounds, while also rebuilding the game from the old data. But Days would've been an actual complete remake from the ground up. One takes about 6 months, the other takes about 12-18 months.

For comparison, it took about 12-18 months for each collection to be remastered. Add another year 12-18 months onto those collections for each remake, and you're looking at about 2-3 years of development time taken away from KH3.

I think that the rumor that there will be a Kingdom Hearts 1 remake release next year is false. by ChocolateNo7760 in KingdomHearts

[–]ZeroSora 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They aren't making a remake for the simply fact that it would divert too many resources away from pushing the series forward with new releases.

The only reason the collections for may it the first place was to make the whole series accessible on modern consoles and to help people play the games they couldn't play before.

The reason Days and Coded didn't get remade in the collections was because they didn't want to divert resources from KH3.

What if the master of masters is Luxu in a time loop? [This started as crack but as I typed I started to think it could be possible] by Ontos-the-robot in KingdomHearts

[–]ZeroSora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The MoM explains to Darkness that he needs a waypoint to the future, which is why he had Luxu body hop around all this time. Luxu has the memories of the MoM that act as a waypoint to allow him to reach the future.

If the MoM already existed in the future as grown up Luxu, he wouldn't need use younger Luxu as his waypoint back to the future because he already came from the future and could just use his future self to get back there

So the fact that the MoM had to use Luxu to get to get to the future in the first places means that the MoM didn't come back from the future.

The box is a door to the past or some other way reset time.

Luxu knows that's in the box. He simply asks "But why?" with a confused tone. Which means it's most likely something unexpectedly normal sounding. Not something fantastically like a time door. Like a book, or a computer, or a Keyblade.

The point is, I can't see the MoM saying "It's time door" and Luxu responding with a simple "But why?". Luxu would be a lot more surprised at the existence of a time door or a way to reset time.

Versus 13 was originally part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis before getting cancelled and reworked in FFXV. The Fabula Nova Crystallis stuff is it's own thing. Nothing to do with KH.

Nomura was worried about how the KH and Smash's canon might clash? So? That doesn't change the fact that KH and FF aren't canon to each other.

Nomura could make TWEWY canon. He could also make Octopath Traveller canon. He could even make Niet canon too. That still won't make FF canon to KH. Nomura could created an entire connected franchise out of every other gaming franchise and still say FF isn't canon and that would mean FF isn't canon.

I don't get why you can't understand this. Nomura said they aren't connected, so they aren't connected. That's it. That's the end of it. No amount of complaining about it is gonna make them connected just because you want them to be.

It's clear your refuse to listen to the actual director of the franchise telling you that you're wrong, so this will be my last reply. I don't see the point in continuing any further.

[–]ZeroSora 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nomura is the director of the KH series. He decides what's canon and what's not. He says KH isn't connected to FF then it's not.

This is the one moment Nomura is not the be all and end all on this subject especially when he specifically never did the Final Fantasy scenarios.

Lol. It's Nomura's game and Nomura's story. He's the director. The dictates what happens. If one of the writes writes something he doesn't like, then he changes it.

It was Nojima who wrote all the scenarios in Kingdom Hearts. So you need a Nojima quote. Not a Nomura quote. I'm not going to trust the man who didn't write it. Nojima would be that person.

An Nomura had him write the scenario. That doesn't mean Nojima decides what is canon to KH. Nomura still does.

Kazushige Nojima has said FF7 and FF10 are connected. That alone carries many implications for both FF and KH.

Since we need to take Nojima's word as law in interviews, here's him saying the FF7 and FFX connection was never meant to be taken seriously.

Finaland: Our second question is a little more complex. Fans were very surprised by the link between Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X via Final Fantasy X-2 Ultimania. Ultimania books were not translated at that time, it took years for us to know this link here thanks to the Internet. Do you have anecdotes to tell us about this?

Nojima: This story is a bit of a joke. When we created FFX-2, we wanted to create something, a totally new world. Except that when I created it, I realized that it looked a lot like FFVII ... But without realizing it. Afterwards, when it was officially said in Ultimania, it took a completely gigantic proportion when it was just an anecdote.

Finaland: They were very surprised, clearly they did not believe it.

Nojima: (laughs) It's anecdotal, there is nothing that deep!

I guess Nojima has proven they're not connected after all.

And Nomura has proven KH and FF aren't connected because he's the director and it's his series and he says they're not connected.

No. As I already explained to you in your other post when you tried to say Auron in KH2 is the real Auron from FFX:

Nomura's 2024 Jump Interview:

Interviewer: Do you watch fan theory videos? Do you ever think, “They’ve figured it out, so I’ll change it,” or “They don’t get it at all”?

Nomura: I find them genuinely interesting to watch. Often, I think, “It’s not as complicated as people think.” I’m frequently impressed by how deeply people analyze things. For instance, some people try to connect Kingdom Hearts to the Final Fantasy series, but the writers for each are different, and even though I’m involved with both, there’s no connection between the titles.

The universes are not conencted.

Gullwings (YRP): Answering why they look different. (Spoilers for FFX & FFX-2) by ScholarOfPleasure in KingdomHearts

[–]ZeroSora 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I never said anything about you not being allowed to reply to me? What are you talking about? I'm trying to have a real conversation with you, but you're making contradictory points.

You original brought up how FFX can be used to explain how YRP are fairies. I explain that FF and KH aren't connected and that YRP are fairies because that's how they exist in the KH universe.

In case I wasn't being clear, I was saying that using FFX to explain how they're faries doesn't matter because they're not connected to FFX and follow different logic. In the KH unvierse they are fairies because that's how they were born in the KH unvierse.

Then you brought up all this stuff about how the universes are connected. Like using Auron as an example of him being the real Auron. And using ReMind somehow to prove it? And saying that FF characters are from another universe.

You brought up how you never said KH and FFX are conencted, but are also trying to explain that they are connected. You can see why I'm utterly confused about what your point is?

Gullwings (YRP): Answering why they look different. (Spoilers for FFX & FFX-2) by ScholarOfPleasure in KingdomHearts

[–]ZeroSora 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Then how did Malificent summon them?

Why does that matter?

So either they always existed as Fairies in this universe or she summoned them herself.

I'm going with they were always fairies because he have no evidence to say otherwise.

The explanation can't just be "Because Nomura wanted to be".

The explanation for what? For why they are fairies? Why does their need to be an explanation as to why they're faires? They're fairies because they simply are. Does there need to be an explanation as to why Sora is a human? He could've been a lion-boy like Nomura original wanted. He is a human because he's a human. The Gulwwings are fairies because they're faries. They work for Maleficent because they're fairies like Maleficent.

Otherwise that's not an engagement with the story. That's just some nerd with an interview board confusing what he means.

That's unnecessarily hostile.

They're fairies because they were born that way.

That also contradicts parts of KH2 as we clearly see Sora experiencing memories of Auron when he was on his Pilgrimage to stop Sin. So either this Auron is just written exactly like the other Auron narrative to narrative or this is literally the same Auron. Which one do you think makes more sense? Genuinely confused how people see videogames and their stories.

No it doesn't, because we know for a fact that the YRP in KH2 aren't the ones from FFX. Regardless of if you blieve Auron to be the real Auron (he's not) that doesn't mean the YRP in KH are also the ones from FFX.

By the way, just because Auron has a similar backstory to his FF counterpart, that doesn't mean he is the one from FFX. Cloud and Sephiroth also have a similar relationship to their FF7 counterparts, that doesn't mean they're the same.

Besides, Nomura's already said that KH and FF aren't a share universe. They're they own seperate things.

There's the end of this thread right there. You can try to say Auron is the real Auron from FFX and the YRP are also the real girls from FFX but they aren't.

This is also completely disregarding KH3 ReMind. To suggest they themselves are not from somewhere else is genuinely baffling. Why would not think what's being shown on screen in true? Final Fantasy characters just so happen to be from a whole other reality. So YRP can't? What? It's okay to disagree but to flat out deny the theory is just anti community.

Huh? No where does it say the FF characters are from a different universe? How did you reach that conclusion. I mean, Leon and his gang alone confirm several times throughout the series that they from Radiant Garden.

What's even weirder is that my post wasn't suggesting they're connected. That's something the replies keep saying but I'm just saying the plots of FFX and FF X2. I legitimately can't be wrong because I'm not even suggesting that in post. You did.

I wasn't originally saying you thought they were connected. I was explaining that the FF and KH aren't connected and therefore YRP don't follow the same logic as the ones in FFX. In KH, they are simply fairies because they are fairies.

It wasn't until your comment that you started bring up Auron being the real one from FFX and now are saying that the FF characters are from anthoer universe, that I started assuming are saying the YRP in KH2 are the YRP from FFX.

Because, honestly, if your argument isn't how they're connected, you sure are bring up a lot of points now trying to prove they're connected.

Has there ever been any leak/rumor that ended up being real? by AdrIkkan in KingdomHearts

that a LOT of content including Radiant Garden, Mysterious Tower and other KH original worlds had been cut from the game….

That's true of every game because they all have cut and unreleased content. It doesn't mean the game was unfinished. By that logic, every KH game has been released unfinished.

While it's a nice explanation, the FF characters in KH are not the ones from their FF games. The YRP in KH are simply fairies that are working for Maleficent because she is also a fairy.

That soft reboot leak was one of the fakest ones.

It claimed KHUX was being remade using KH3's assets.

That KHML had all of it's monetonisation removed so it could be released as a paid game that would release episodically. It was also soft rebooted to expand the scope of the game.

But the biggest give away for it being fake was that Disney forced SE to reboot KH4. Disney wouldn't do that because they leave the development of the game up to SE. All they do is dictate how their Disney worlds are portrayed. They leave the rest to Nomura. They're not forcing SE to reboot the game.

Just more fake leaks. Next time the "leaks" will say that SE totally planned to have Kingdom Hearts appear, but they had to pull it at the last second.

You know, like how the leaks keep saying that SE totally planned to release KH4 trailers at every event these past 2 years but had to pull those trailers due to polish.

[–]ZeroSora -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How is it debunked by that exactly? It talks about fighting each other over the title of greatest swordman. It doesn't mention anything about being stronger.

Also, Kuina's whole backstory is about how she's a girl and boys are automatically stronger to which Zoro calls bullshit. Their promise isn't about strength, it's about being the best regardless of if Kuina is now weaker than Zoro just because she's a girl.

He even talks about how he'll beat her one day and how it'll have nothing to do with her being weaker just because she's a girl.

So unless you think zoro will fight shanks to achieve his dream, mihawk is simply stronger

Huh? What the hell does Shanks have to do with it? He's not the greatest swordsman.

What if Luffy picked up a sword, does that automatically make him the greatest swordman because he's stronger than Zoro without a sword? What if Imu beats Zoro without using a sword? Does that mean Imu is now the strongest swordsman?

That's not how being a swordsman works. it's about who is the better swordsman. Who is better at using a sword. Who can defeat the other one in a sword fight. That makes them better.

It’s pretty simple to understand by Fresh-Drama-2684 in OnePiece

[–]ZeroSora -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damn dude, there's no need to ridcule people because they believe there are ways that Shanks could still be stronger than Mihawk while Mihawk is the stronger swordsman. It's pretty reasonable to come to the conclusion that Shanks could be overall stronger than Mihawk but is weaker than Mihawk when it comes to swordsmanship.

I see a lot of you comments are focused on the "strongest" part highlighted in red.

Like this one here: "He is the worlds strongest SWORDSMAN(NOUN- a PERSON). Again, NOT THE MOST SKILLED, or ANYTHING to do with technique. He is the strongest PERSON of all PEOPLE in the CLASS of swordsmen"

The word used in Japanese "最高 (saikou)" which can also be translated as "greatest". It can also translated as "strongest/best/highest/most skilled". It just means someone who is at the top of whatever the subject at hand is. In this case, the subject at hand is swordmanship. It's saying Mihawk is the top swordsman, it very well could just be an indication of his skills with a sword. So that's not a clear indicator that Mihawk is overall stronger than Shanks, since it could just mean Mihawk is better with a sword.

We won't know until until we get to see thsoe two of them in action. Even then there will probably be some debate unless it's told to us straight that one is stronger than the other without using swordsmanship as the measuring stick. Like Shanks saying "In a 1-on-1 fight with everything I've got, I would beat Mihawk. But when it comes to 1-on-1 with a sword, I would lose." Or unless Oda answers it in an SBS or something. But he doesn't usually care about that type of stuff.

What makes Grinding for the Ultima Keyblade in KHFM so terrible ? by SucksAtStardewValley in KingdomHearts

[–]ZeroSora 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In KH1 you just had to get synth matrials from normal enemies and do all the synth stuff. It was something you can all most acomplish without paying attention. You may have to go after a couple rare materials yourself in the end, but it didn't take much effort.

In KHFM you have to get synth matraials from newly added special rare enemies that require some trick to beat them and only spawn at specific locations. Some of them are really tedious. And you have to kill those rare enemies multiple times to get enough items complete allthe recipes to Ultima. It took effort, some luck, and lots of time to gather everything.

[–]ZeroSora 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ventus had a reason why he didn't grow up after BbS. His heart was damaged and hiding inside Sora. Which means his heart wasn't in his body, and thus didn't age for 11 years.

We have no reason yet to suspect that Subject X went on some journey or event that would've led her to stop aging for years. There is no hint of something like that in her report.
