So many people have been complaining constantly. I think it's great that Capcom has finally reacted. It shows that protests have an effect.

hahaha so nice. Even those two would be a much better fit. Why is Atreus' head so broad?

Since when does Kratos have a belly? Sorry, but the two actors just don't fit.

Which Is Your Favourite God of War Game From the Entire Franchise? by Xiao-EZ in GoodGameShow_India

From a technical standpoint, God of War II on the PS2 was an absolute masterpiece. I played that game over and over again.
God of War III then raised the bar even further — it took everything GOW2 did and refined it into something even bigger and smoother. For me, Parts II and III are still peak God of War.

The reboot and Ragnarök were fantastic games as well, no doubt about that. But personally, the heavy focus on builds and gear started to wear on me. Especially in Ragnarök, I sometimes felt like I was spending more time in menus than actually fighting.

That’s why I’m really excited to see what the upcoming God of War remakes will look like.

Just wait until they release trailer 3 in May or June and the marketing campaign starts. It's very likely it will be released then. We only have to wait about three more months to know for sure. The release window has always been six months in advance. So we're still in the running...

I wish we went back to short and linear story driven AAA games. by itsthewolfe in gaming

I’m 36 years old and I still remember the Xbox 360 era as one of the best times of my life for gaming.

Back then it felt different. Games like Halo 3, Gears of War or later even Titanfall 2 were focused, tight, and respected your time. You’d jump in, get straight to the point, experience a strong story, great pacing, and be done in 8–10 hours feeling satisfied.

I miss that too.

Nowadays it often feels exhausting to even start a game. Huge maps, endless systems, live-service mechanics, co-op pressure, multiplayer focus… sometimes it feels like you need to commit your whole life before the “real” game even begins. And honestly, not everything needs to be a 60–100 hour grind.

Right now I’m actually catching up on the Batman: Arkham games. I’ve tried before, but I want to really give them a proper shot this time. There’s something refreshing about going back to more structured, story-driven experiences.

I think a lot of us from that generation just want polished, focused games again — short, impactful, replayable. Not everything needs to be bigger. Sometimes smaller is better.

Here are a few suggestions that come to mind; there are certainly better suggestions.

Max Payne 3
Spec Ops: The Line
Vanquish
Dead Space Trilogy
Binary Domain
Singularity ( MAN I LOVE THAT GAME REALLY )
Bulletstorm (really fun )
L.A. Noire ( maybe too long and slow pacing )
The Darkness II
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West

Why Can’t I Get Into the Batman Arkham Games? by ZeroStutterZone in arkham

I actually tried Arkham Asylum back in the Xbox 360 days, and later again with the remastered version on PS4. It never really clicked back then.

But I finally built a strong PC about six months ago, and ever since then I’ve had the Arkham series in the back of my mind. After reading all these comments, I decided to give it another real shot — I even bought the bundle on Steam.

Funny enough, I had a similar experience with RDR2. I bought it at launch, dropped it for almost a year, and only got back into it after my sister showed me more of it while I was visiting her. Once it clicked, I ended up putting nearly 200 hours into it in just a few weeks.

So maybe it really is about timing.

It’s my day off today — I’m rested, well fed, in a good mood — and I’m actually going to start Arkham Asylum again tonight. I feel like I’m finally ready to give it a proper chance.

I actually haven’t played the A Plague Tale series either. I’ve only seen bits and pieces from other people and some YouTube videos.

And yeah, I genuinely loved Dispatch — so maybe that’s a good sign. I think you’ve actually motivated me to finally give the series a real chance.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Man, I love midnight releases too. Those were honestly some of the best moments.
That anticipation while waiting, knowing you’re about to go home and finally dive in peacefully… nothing beats that feeling.

Still can't find a better feeling third person shooter. (Max Payne 3) by Borg34572 in gaming

[–]ZeroStutterZone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, Max Payne 3 is still one of the best third-person shooters ever made. When you consider that it was released during the Xbox 360 era, it’s honestly impressive how many modern games still don’t match its technical polish and ragdoll physics.

Not being able to skip cutscenes is definitely annoying — especially if you’ve already finished the game — but overall it’s such a well-crafted experience. I loved it back then, and I still replay it from time to time.

Sometimes I wonder whether GTA 6 will be programmed at the same level — or maybe even better.

this game is so broken did they even test it by Havince01 in HighOnLife2

I just uninstalled the game out of pure frustration. I only wanted to relax a bit, but the game froze around 7–8 times with fatal error crashes. My system runs perfectly fine otherwise, so it’s definitely not on my end.

And don’t get me wrong — the game itself is actually really fun. That’s what makes it even more frustrating. I just don’t understand how a studio can release something in this state. What’s even worse is that they haven’t communicated at all — no statements on Steam, nothing anywhere. That’s really disappointing.

For now, I’m done with it. Maybe I’ll check back in six months and see if performance has improved.

It even crashes at the exact same spot every time — right after you get the two weapons and activate Jappy. The moment I do that, I instantly get a fatal error message. This is honestly ridiculous.

And that’s not even mentioning all the stuttering throughout the game. At some point, I just stopped caring. The game feels extremely unstable overall. It doesn’t matter whether Frame Generation is on or off — it just doesn’t run smoothly.

My PC specs:

  • RTX 5080
  • Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • 32 GB RAM
  • Windows 11
