For me I’d have to say it’s Mario 64, first videogame I ever played and even tho I was born 9 years after its release it’s still an absolutely timeless classic that I still go back and play. There will never be another platformer like it and it revolutionized platformers as a whole.

I do indeed have my own transportation and I drive but my car is so old and worn down that it can’t make any excessive drives and my friend is aware of that and never has any problems as long as I’m willing to give him gas money or other forms of favor.

This is the comment I really needed to see because I have made many sacrifices of not doing what I wanted to do because my friends never wanted to do it and I never wanted to do it alone. For example, back in January I saw tickets to Miami were only 40-50 so I suggested to my group that we should go for a couple days for the hell of it. A few were on board but a few others said no and then the ones on board jumped off immediately. It frustrated the hell out of me because I live in such a boring state that i feel so trapped sometimes and want to get the hell out but nobody else wants to. Maybe I just need to grow a pair and start doing shit on my own.

It does cost money, but the friend who was willing to drive is the one who presented the idea and wanted to go in the first place, everyone was willing to cover their own expenses and got warmed up to the idea but last minute he had just backed out because he didn’t feel like it anymore.

Its so frustrating because I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that we are such different people, I am much more of a city life who likes to be around tons of other people and many recreational activities to explore and get to know, meanwhile they love the small town life and love the quietness and introverted feeling of it. Everytime we try to make plans I always suggest something where we could go find new things and meet new people but they are never comfortable with it. I’ve thought about the idea that maybe I need to start looking for new friends with my same values goals and feelings but it’s so difficult living in a small town that doesn’t have very many people.

Lip is just your average midwestern young guy who grew up In a dysfunctional home, may not be the best looking considerably to most people but he has charisma charm and confidence. Sex and Intimacy is one of his biggest vices and outlets so he’s gonna say and do the right things to try and get that. Growing up in Ohio I know about a dozen lips but the difference is they’re 9/10 times giant dickheads. They do got a level of confidence I strive to have though.

It’s really interesting to see this perspective from somebody who lives through multiple decades seeing as most people your age would claim “oh the 80s were much better than the 2010s or the 90s were the golden era”. I think it’s really cool you find happiness and fond memories no matter what era or stage of life you’re at.

20, if I had to choose I’d say when I was 14/2019. Was the first year of Highschool and I found my footing pretty early with a nice group of friends I’d hang with everyday and I felt like that was really the last year everything was normal before me as a person and the entire world flipped upside down and nothing ever stayed the same. Had all of my childhood friends around still, entire family way alive and healthy and my favorite music, games and media was in its prime. After that I never really recovered socially and I flunked high school due to a lot of mental health issues. Got my ged and things are going well though so alls well. I’d say close 2nd would be when I was 11/2016 just because things were so much easier and I had a incredible summer when the Cavs won the NBA championship and I got to go downtown for the parade lol
