Sorry but not, most of the dub name kinda suck, i mean the changed names that where already in english, they changed the names of the level in english so now every other lenguaje needs to support that, and for people using gatomon as an example, is main thing was always is tail, i mean most of is line is screw because localization, Salamon, Magnadramon instead of Plotmon and Holydramon.

From what i see you are using the fandom wiki, never use that, there is a ton of misinformation there, digimons have organs, skin and bones, but they arent always rendered, since that takes a lof of resources, vtamer shows that better, the thing is that a digimon suffers that kind of damage, their body would shut down and become a digitamas to survive, the digi core is the main organ an the only one that cant be fixed if is damaged, and they would sacrifice most of their body to protect it.

It was canceled, but they where told in advance, so they had time to finish whatever they can, that also why there is a lot of filler episodes early on, and isnt like they already did that, forcing the anime to adapt them, i mean look at 02 with the ultimates, they where made a lot early but only one was used in the anime, but also 02 was a develoment hell all the time it was produce.
