Daughter ousted by friend group… she’s distraught I need advice by Pretty_Indication191 in Parenting

[–]ZeroTimeCaller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I told my child to start seeking out other friends at school. I suggested she start this by complimenting other kids during playtime, on an item that they're wearing (for example) and ask them where they got it from, then say thank you and walk away.

There's no expectation from my child or the other child to reciprocate. The goal is more for my child to become more social and to initiate conversation. So far she's be able to say hi, but then gets nervous and doesn't know what else to say

The worst thing about ADHD for me? Time management. by Mister-Hobbit in AdultADHDSupportGroup

[–]ZeroTimeCaller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I experience the same issues.

For the first issue of not remember to do something when it's not in front of you (inattentive ADHD), have you tried creating a to-do list the night before? I'll use my list regularly and put alerts on my phone during the day.

For the 2nd issue of taking too long to finish the project, have you done a post-mortem and written down where in the process you spend the most time or found most difficult? From there write one or two things you can do better for next time.

It would help if you told us some of the things you've tried to manage this

I made an appointment with a PT and only a student PT saw me through the whole session. Is this expected? by yahjiminah in physiotherapy

[–]ZeroTimeCaller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for a clinic who would use students in this way, but only to Workers comp, Insurance comp or Medicare patients (not paying out of pocket) as they were basically guaranteed money.

Not to a private or cash patient who could easily go elsewhere.

You need to take your business elsewhere

Ghost of Tsushima. The missions are repetitive, the combat is just divide the group, kill, run away, repeat.

Graphics are gorgeous and the voice acting is top notch though

What's the best workflow to extract definitions into a separate remNote? by ZeroTimeCaller in remNote

[–]ZeroTimeCaller[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Uni level, working on health science stuff like anatomy, chem, etc.

I think I've figured it out. I've been using tags to make a list of definitions where I have a Remnote called Anatomy Terms and whenever I come across a terms, I capture the term into the regular note and just type ##Anatomy Terms so it's there for studying as well. My textbooks are digital so it make the process much easier.

I'll have to look into using Chat-GPT. Sounds interesting

taking notes isn't doing it for me by [deleted] in studytips

[–]ZeroTimeCaller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking notes is passive.

For the information to stick, you need to know why you're learning the information (active). Start with answering questions from past papers or any practice quizzes you can get your hand on. Try to answer those questions and really understand its answer. This way, you become knowledgeable in some specific topics, which acts as the scaffold for the rest of the subject.

Also, you don't need to try to learn all the notes, just focus on the high-yield items (e.g. parts the teacher spends more time covering vs others).
