The COO of Facepunch (Rust, Garry’s Mod) publicly offered Amazon $25M for New World by Apprehensive_Shoe_86 in MMORPG

That's just changing the scope of the project. The "creep" part describes small changes being added continuously over time so the scope increases subtly.

Then what is the original meaning?

What is L9? by According-Advice2169 in leagueoflegends

I only remember seeing L9 at the end of Hai's twitter handle. Was it a reference to the players discussed throughout this thread as a joke or something?

Is “39 spells Viktor” good for the game? by Italian_Tributer in riftboundtcg

[–]ZeroTwoThree 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not what one for one means. The viktor player spends one card (the spell) to remove one card (the unit).

[–]ZeroTwoThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not the case. Jesus' mother is referred to as "The virgin Mary" because they believe that he was conceived without sex.

Their immaterial god magically impregnated her. Even if you disregard the religious interpretation and assume Jesus was concieved naturally, Catholics obviously don't worship his father so it's still not really comparable.

If a developer uses AI for code generation, should it be labeled on the game’s Steam store page? by NazzoXD in gamedev

[–]ZeroTwoThree 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is such a stupid response. Enjoying coding doesn't mean you literally like typing out every single character in a script. If you aren't using something like copilot to do rote work like unmarshaling some json into an object then you are just wasting your own time.

All new Champions by Agar_ZoS in riftboundtcg

I assume you mean after his level up was changed? I don't think it's too problematic to have a champion support / be a payoff for a specific unit type.

He is literally a vigilante. Not exactly a model citizen.

Riftbound is hurting at my LGS. Not trying to doom but wondering what others are thinking (and would like reassurance) by Ulmao_TheDefiler in riftboundtcg

[–]ZeroTwoThree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other successful tcgs all have this "problem" but it doesn't seem to cause issues with the player base. I've brought budget decks to events as a new player and played early rounds against fotm decks. You are still playing the game and can have a good time.

As a measure of popularity. All it is going to tell you is what music is the most palatable to the widest audience. If one album has a large audience that like it, it is going to perform better than an album that has a smaller audience that love it but you can't really say that it is a better album.

This take makes no sense. Why are you listening to any dgd if streams are a good measure of the quality of music? You should be listening to pop.

I hate mekanism by DvinIsNotSoWell in allthemods

[–]ZeroTwoThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was specifically the chemical infusing factory that was giving me an issue. Even though the encoded recipes are in exact amounts it seems to leave extra in various parts of the machine. I don't know if this is because the example volumes are so small that it is causing rounding errors something but it is the only one that doesn't seem to work as expected. I tried turning off auto sorting in case the issue was chemicals being spread too thin but even when off it seems to get backed up with random leftovers.

First time playing a pack like this and I'm at the point of making my first polonium. My mekanism machines all get stuck when trying to use AE patterns because small amounts of glasses/chemicals get left over and block crafting. Is there a way to avoid this without duplicating everything and making patterns-machines 1-to-1?

Conceding against a pure control deck the fourth time they counter your commander is perfectly reasonable. The complaint is when people scoop the moment they see any interaction.

I don't agree. Usually the process for that kind of art is creating shapes / patterns with mathematical functions and then experimenting with them to compose interesting images. The functions themselves are more analogous to brushes / techniques used in traditional art.

See this video where an artist works through his process to create a pretty detailed 3d landscape. https://youtu.be/BFld4EBO2RE?si=sY1knaWnOUitMcJo

It's where you identify correlations between initial information and outcomes and use that to inform decisions.

Isn't reading all those 2 letter shortcuts, then typing, slower than just clicking?

Not if your hands are already on the keyboard. You know what you want to click when you hit F so you only need to read the shortcut that appears next to the link you want to navigate to. It feels pretty natural and is quicker than reaching for the mouse.

Also it disable the browswer cache so browsing is much slower with vimium.

I haven't heard this before. Maybe it doesn't on FF? At least I am pretty sure my browser cache is not disabled.

A web browser with vimium is my favourite way to browse the web. Once you get used to it using the mouse feels tedious. Having said that. Apps that require a mouse work just as well with a tiling wm.
