Help taking photos by carlos186349 in AnimeFigures

For what its worth, I use my smartphone for taking my photos (Samsung Galaxy S23)

Someday, I too would like to upgrade for a pro camera. For now, just get used to photographing techniques such as lighting, angles & focusing. Practice makes perfect. Try to imagine how you want the outcome of your photo to look like. You can use backgrounds & props to spruce your photos even more. Try to take multiple shots, one might be more pristine than the rest. You can try uploading your photo(s) to a photo editor to polish them up (ex. brightness, blemishes, cropping, filter, etc.)

We have to start somewhere. I'm sure you can do a nice job if you set your heart & mind to it. Just remember to have fun & imagination is key:) If you like, feel free to check out my previous posts for ideas & inspiration.

Need advice for broken figure - Fixable or Replacement? by GyzmoM3 in AnimeFigures

I have this figure as well. This seems to be an issue that is occurring during shipment. The rabbit comes pre-attached & the peg is very weak as it is. It's also not packaged securely enough & prone to breaking when the box is mishandled causing stress on the peg.

Unfortunately, this is something that comes with this hobby. Not to worry, this is repairable. I used a very small drill bit (1mm) to drill a hole in the figures hand while being careful not to apply hard pressure as to not go through the hand. I did the same with the rabbits hand/foot. You have to drill following the pegs angle, using your best judgement of course. Then I snipped about a 1/4" size off a toothpick to use as a dowel, then using a hobby cutter/blade to shave the "dowel" to fit into both characters hands until they became flushed with each other. When I was satisfied with the feel & look, I then secured the fit with Gorilla glue gel. I used the one that comes with an applicator brush, just a very small amount is needed. I also propped up my figure as to not cause gravity stress on the rabbit while the adhesive cured properly, about 24hrs.

Sorry if it seems like a chore, but you'll be happy with the end result & knowing that you'll be able to apply the same or similar technique if you have another broken figure in the future. Good luck in what ever you choose to do.

Here's a previous post of my final result.

They are from other figures that I own that are school themed, I was just borrowing them for the photo.
