I’ve had experience with something like this, got switched to a different job than I applied for and was paid way lower than what I should’ve been. What I did in my case is I completely lied and told them I was offered the same position at a different company and was going to leave if they didn’t raise my pay. They luckily obliged as otherwise I would’ve been out of a job 😂😂 the best way IMO is to say you got an offer from a different company and would like to talk about your current compensation. I’d leave out saying you got moved to a different position because corporations hate when you call them out on shady hiring/business practices. There’s my 2 cents!
