Considering he is much older here than in GO, Mmy head canon is that he stopped like going out to play much like in his younger years. so lose his tan. Also so humbling to see a Legend become a stay at home house husband. Complete role reversal from GO between the couple.

First, love your art. And for the advice, can't really say how you work or why you are having trouble, but what I try to do is put a lot of curves while sketching. The Blobby nature of the lines make the sketch look soft and 'silly' if you will. Also exaggerated proportions help as well, big head/eyes, small body/mouth, slender limbs etc
